At 310 ft. pounds, this impact wrench really packs a punch. I torqued my wheel lug nuts to 150 ft. pounds which is the max on my torque wrench. All I had to do was quickly depress the reverse setting on the rocker switch in two seconds and the lug nuts were off. The thing has so much power that the gear keeps spinning even after you've let go of the switch, just enough to unscrew the entire nut. If that was only half the power, imagine the possibilities on one of the tightest crankshaft bolts out there - the Honda bolt at 181 ft. pounds. As a result of this tremendous torquing capability, I'd recommend to use it for bolt removal only. Only if you have no other choice will I suggest using it for tightening and should be very careful doing it so you won't damage your bolt or the threading. The included case is very sturdy and has nice feel. The 12 ft. long cord is a bonus on the power as it draws current from a live source when compared to the battery powered ones out there. If you have a good sized hand, at about 10 pounds, I don't think it's that heavy to be much of a big deal, especially as you may be using it only in "called for" situations. The instruction manual says that you should use your second hand to hold and support the tool at the front end of the barrel.All in all, you get the impression that this is a high quality piece of equipment, costing a lot less than the high end brands, but performing just as well.

I needed an impact wrench to remove the anode rod on my water heater. It worked great and loosened the rod in about 5 seconds. In the future I'll use it to remove the lug nuts when I rotate my tires which I used to loosen with a breaker bar so at least I'll get more use out of it. I see some pictures show that it came with a plastic case but mine just came in a cardboard box but that's not a big deal for me since I'll only occasionally use it.

The breaker bar rotated the whole water heater. My smaller impact wrench wasn't able to loosen the anode. This thing did it in 5 seconds. For that one job alone it was worth its price.

You will be happy with the speed and strength of this impact. It is very strong. Whips wheel nuts off like butter. This gun is heavy and pretty large. Not made for “close quarters.” If you want a long lasting, HD impact, this won’t let you down

I used it to remove water heater anodes. It had enough power to round the corners of the anode’s head in one case.
