Exceptional Care and Product!
Everyone took a few hours to adjust and come out of their shells once they arrived and got acquainted with their new living environment. Received an assortment in sizes, colors as noted in the advertisement. I’m very happy. Everyone appears to be healthy, strong and the extra care in packaging really went a long way with such delicate creatures. Oh and I received them two days before expected via FedEx.

Bad Idea
2/3 we’re dead on arrival. I let them sit in the water for a couple days because that’s how long sometimes Before they start moving . Only 3or 4 started to move and I have had them for over a week and still no movement

Love my snails
I received my snails plus a few extra. They were all healthy and alive. I placed them in a small glass jar after they were acclimated to the temperature and put the jar in the tank. All of the snails had climbed out in less than 12 hours and some within a few minutes. I will order from them again

Truly impressed!
I ordered 10 snails and received 14, they did not come in water but rather on a wet paper towel which surprised me, but I've never ordered snails online before. Most looked dead when I got them but from previous experience I know they sometimes look a little wonky when wet, but out of water. These snails are notorious for climbing out of tanks with out lids. I put the snails, face down, into a smal clear container and started the acclimation process by just barely covering the bottom of the container, I then allowed water to drip into the container using an airline slightly tied on one end until the container was filled about 3/4 of the way, this took about 15-20 minutes. I then put them into the aquarium on the substrate, face down, turned off the lights and went to work for 12 hours with my fingers crossed, so far all but 2 snails have moved, movement means they are alive in my tank as it's got low flow and no fish right now. Even if these 2 don't make it, I am still overall very pleased and would recommend purchasing from this seller, they know what they are doing for shipping and even include directions for acclimation and what to do in case there are DOA.

Don't ship FedEx
All snails arrived alive in spite of FedEx leaving them in the mailbox (in a FedEx envelope *with a large label "DO NOT LEAVE IN MAILBOX!!!!" stuck to the top of the envelope. Had I realized it would be shipped FedEx I probably wouldn't have purchased. This isn't the first time. FedEx is the worst. It seems malicious at this point. Regardless, all snails are alive and active. Took off one star because they don't have an assortment of color like I expected based on the picture. All the same dark brown. Some with muted black/gray stripes or dots. No bright colors among my group of ten. Was hoping for a nice "assortment" of color, but it's just an assortment of brown. Nevertheless, they're doing the job right away cleaning the tank so it's all good.

Excellent Morphs, But Packing Is Inconsistent Across Orders
(This review has been updated to reflect a second order of the same SKU.) I’ve ordered the Swimming Creatures™ assorted Nerite 12‑pack twice at different times, and the morph quality is consistently excellent. My assortments included a great mix of morphs: Zebras, Spotted, Tigers, Amber/Ghost variants, Olives, a Black Racer, and a Batik. The snails themselves are healthy, active, and the variety is far better than anything I can find locally. When they arrive alive, they’re genuinely beautiful animals. Order #1: Snails were wrapped in moist paper — not perfect, but tight enough that they stayed secure and there was no free water in the bag. They shipped 16 snails, and all 16 arrived alive and in good condition. Order #2: Completely different packing method. Instead of the proper moist‑paper wrap, this shipment used a hybrid water/paper method — roughly 1/4 cup of fouled water with a loose wadded paper towel. This is a problem because it’s neither a true water‑pack nor a proper paper‑pack, and it causes more stress than either method alone. They shipped 17 snails, and only 13 survived — and only because I intervened immediately with freshwater cycling and a slower acclimation process. Without that, losses would have been higher. Vendor Response: Customer service is polite and fast, but they prefer issuing refunds over sending replacements. Across both orders, they also shipped extra snails well beyond the 12‑pack count. While generous, this appears to be used as a way to offset losses from inconsistent packing rather than addressing the packing method itself. The result is that survival depends more on how the bag was packed that day than on the health of the snails. Bottom Line: The morph variety is excellent, and the snails that survive are genuinely high quality. But packing is inconsistent, and survival depends heavily on the packing method and on your experience with acclimation and stress recovery. Across two orders of the Swimming Creatures™ assorted Nerite 12‑pack, I experienced four preventable deaths caused by avoidable shipping errors. If you’re experienced and prepared to manage shipping stress, the snails themselves are worth it. If you need reliable survival rates, be aware that this vendor is a bit of a roll of the dice.
