I'm happy with this case
I'm happy with this case.I bought it to replace an old (circa 2002!) US-spec Samsonite clamshell case that managed 15 years of pretty frequent travel for both work and leisure. This new one is only a week old to me, but has done some distance already (circa 14,000 miles) and from using it so far, I think it'll last a long time. The hinge is a piano hinge, which is the strongest and most sensible type for a clamshell case like this, since it runs one whole side of the case. There are 3 independent locking clasps to hold the two halves of the case together, with the central main one also incorporating a TSA 3-tumbler lock. The other two clasps (top and bottom) have a spinning element which "locks" the clasp closed to stop it being undone by accident. Neat design. There is no fabric liner inside the majority of the case (inside it's bare plastic, save for the hinge area where there is a small amount of material to stop the hinge from eating suitcase contents, and a net/fabric separator). This may sound like a downside, but it really isn't: fabrics just absorb smells and (generally) half of trips are returns with dirty laundry. Heat stabilised polypropylene (which this case is made of) doesn't absorb smells. The case is available either in 4-wheeled "stroller" format, or as a 2-wheeled "roller". I have the "stroller" model, and it works great. You can actually tip it over and use it like a roller anyway if you want to.The extending handle is a single metal bar, which means the indent inside the case (where it goes when it's stowed) is as small as it can sensibly be. Compare that design with telescopic handles that use two telescoping elements, and look at the volume of case those use up in comparison: the single bar gives more luggage space. The case has two plastic detents which stop the hinge from over-extending when you open the case fully. It's not obvious what they are for until you open the case and realise the thing won't open past 180º and doesn't creak like most cases would as all the lever forces go through the hinge. The main carry handle is sturdy, and for some inexplicable reason, it's a soft-close part. There's a light grey rubber grommet running the whole seal of the case.I am not saying it's waterproof, or even water-resistant, but I think this in combination with the lack of a porous zip and the fact that the whole thing is tough plastic, means it's less likely to let water in, if it was to end up outside in a monsoon or something like that. Might be useful for travellers to countries like India or Scotland, where it knows how to rain properly.Oddly, the case isn't made in a low-cost country. Mine was made in Belgium.I beat the stuffing out of cases, which is why I bought this one (Samsonite Aeris Spinner, M, 65L, red). It looks and feels the real deal.

Amazing suitcase although slightly large
First I'm going to say that this suitcase is the best one I've bought.Very sturdy, great design (nice subtle logo pattern on the front) and 3 point lock system which is great and feels secure. You'll find that moving it around is so easy with the 4 wheels even when it's overloaded which brings me to my main point and probably the only negative one. This suitcase is very large and has lots of space which means that you can easily go over the limit of around 20kgs of airlines companies. The issue is that it yes it's a relatively light suitcase for its size and the fact that it has a hard shell but it is still slightly over 5kgs which means that you're left with lots of space to fill it in but not many kilos so it will end up being quite empty most of the times.Next time I will probably go with the 75cm size instead but I will say it again, you can't go wrong with it.

Very Good .... but No Cigar
Great Case ...... However1) The case is welll made and the design is good.2) Materials use are very high quality3) locks on the sides are very well designed and the combination centre one is good also4) walking this “ like a dog “ inside an airport is easy and makes airports a doddleHowever1). Wheels are small and don’t look like they will withstand the test of time..... or rough outside parking areas that have potholes. I’d prefer much bigger wheels here2) there’s no elasticated side pocket for alll this “ nick nacks “ you leave in your case for the next holiday / adventure .... I had to use a large wash bag to put everything in3) if I was to be picky .... I’d say the plastic wasn’t as thick as my old Samsonite ( that looked similar ). And as such it tends to flex and move around a bit more than you’d expectOverall I’m happy with it but I’m unsure it will last as long as my 15 year old previous Samsonite

Not sure how durable extendable handle will be
Its a nice suitcase.I bought it because I discovered a significant crack in my existing case shortly before travelling.I wanted a cheap-ish and nice looking replacement spinner fast.Positives are:It was relatively cheap.Order was deivered in good time.It looks nice but after only two flights is already scratched.I have been complimented about how smoothly it rolls. Its light. On the top of the case, next to the extendable handle are three square recesses into which you can place your initials or the numerical code for unlocking the case ;). A set of peel-off letters/numbers is supplied. This is both cute and useful.Negatives are:Mainly the extendable handle. In gripping the suitcase, it is natural to take hold of the extendable handle at the top of the case and the carry handle on the front. The violent ways airline baggage personnel treat suitcases, I doubt that the extendable handle can last long, if you travel by air fequently. The button for releasing the extendable handle is akward (for me) to press.I had to google how to set numerical code for lock. The supplied instructions were not clear enough. Its a nice suitcase but if in future I will travel more frequently, I will buy the s'cure which has a separate handle to grip on the top of the case.

Perfect travelling case
Perfect travelling case. Sturdy, light and so easy to manoeuvre. I liked the interior design and the international locking system is simple and effective to use. If, like me, you are getting on in years and want a case that you can manage when travelling alone - this is for you. There are alternative sizes but I find this one particularly useful for longer stays. This case has now served me well on a number of long haul journeys and still looks like new. Quality luggage and good value.

This case is very sturdy and survived a number of baggage handlers
I was told never buy a case with a zip and after my recent travels I can see why. This case is very sturdy and survived a number of baggage handlers, unlike some other suitcases I saw on the carousel,smashed...Expensive but you get what you pay for it is easy to manoeuvre, not too heavy and reliable
