Carhartt Relaxed Fit Duck Blanket Lined Detroit Jacket

I'm a 49'' to 50'' chest and the XL is pretty big on me (with just a t-shirt on), the arms are nice and long (giving a nice freedom of movement). It's a lovely jacket, the only downsides are the rough carpet underlay-style blanket lining for the body and the cheap YKK zipper. I've tried to show the colour accurately with the pictures along with some measurements, but some are hit and miss colurwise. It's more brown than tan (whether it will fade overtime I'm not sure), I was hoping it would be more like the colour Matthew McConaughey jacket is in the picture uploaded with my review . There are poppers on the waist, sleeves and collar (for the detachable hood available separately). I can't attest how durable this jacket will be for its intended purpose, as it will be more of a fashion item for me (Carhartt is a brand you often see actors wearing in movies (see picture) and they've always appealed to me) and not a work jacket, but I'd imagine it will suffice. I'm not sure if I'd prefer the Duck Chore Coat as it's slightly longer and open at the waist, but I think the Detroit is well worth the asking price.

I enjoy the quality of this coat its a little on my large size but I did buy it for the winter so I'm pleased that I'm able to layer the materials are hard wearing I was a little when it arrived as the material for the outer shell was stiffer than the box it arrived in but it worked itself out fine and now feels comfortable

Nice enough jacket. Very short so be warned. I'm usually an XL (44-46" Chest) the L was big enough for me.

Excellent quality. Well made, tough fabric outer and warm lining. Comfortable to wear and made to last.

Heavy duty great looking coat. Looks like a rancher style. Ordered XL for usually large guy....the baggy fit looks amazing. Good price too.

Wonderful jacket. XL is fine. Its a 'work' jacket, after all & not a 'fashion' item. I'm 6'5" ,16st, 36" W & fits great

Sizing was awful and just ugly so returned and bought a vintage one

Un très bon blouson, qui m'a l'air plutôt robuste et bien fini. Attention cependant car la taille ne conviendra pas à tout le monde, c'est une coupe faite pour les bûcherons, épaules carrées, gros bras et buste qui tient la route. Si vous êtes plutôt brindille ou même galet, passez votre chemin, vous ne ressemblerez à rien dedans et vous vous risquerez même de vous y perdre. En bref si vous êtes costaud allez-y, moi je fais du XL voir XXL le plus souvent, j'ai pris un XL, c'est impec! La veste est un peu rigide, ça changera avec le temps et c'est une veste de travail à la base. La teinte n'est pas fidèle à la photo, elle est plus vive et plutôt d'une couleur moutarde foncé, mais très jolie tout de même.

Après avoir lu nombre de commentaires, j'ai commandé une taille au dessus : je fais 176 cm, un tour de poitrine de 112 cm, des épaules (oui, je sais, un peu comme un gorille...), 93 kg. J'ai donc pris un XL, et le blouson me va parfaitement : je peux y glisser un pull épais ou une doudoune mince par dessous sans soucis. Pour l'instant, il est neuf donc très rigide, mais déjà très agréable à porter.
