These don’t say that they are active, so I’m assuming they are passive. Assuming they are passive devices, you should keep the distance under 100m for all runs plugged into the connector. I went further and used 3ft cables from my POE switch and to my two cameras. Sadly, I could not get this to work. I could get it to work if I had only one camera plugged in. POE switch is 52v.Perhaps if there was some better documentation (any documentation) on what was needed to get it working. If somehow I get this working or seller lets me know how to make it work, I will update my review.Aside from my not being able to get them working, they look well made and would likely hold up under wet conditions.

This item is a two pack of two PoE splitters and all of the pieces necessary to make it water tight. These are clearly labeled as to which port is the input port and which should be PoE outputs. I picked these up to operate two PoE IP Cameras from the same original run. I have a Ubiquiti Unifi PoE enabled switch that outputs a solid 48v. I have attempted to connect two RLC-410 cameras via PoE to this splitter. It was an instant failure. These devices consume just under the amount a single switch port can provide so I'm not certain why they are failing. If I connect up either camera individually, it works just fine. I know it's the splitter because I have a different one that I've been using which isn't weatherproof and it works great.The connections are great and with all of the pieces they look very waterproof and I really wished that these worked.Overall, these did NOT work for me, but maybe if I had a 57v PoE system the result may have been different. Due to my failure, I unfortunately cannot recommend these.
