MET MY NEEDS! As soon as I had assembled was able to cut my law back which is quarter of an acre , I was actually very surprised how good it was, for the size, the blade circumference is smallish so it took about an hour or so and 3 charged batteries to do the area but for me it was absolutely perfect. It was easy to manage and store away afterward as compact. The strap was handy to allow me to swing the arm around. I took the tall grass down gradually rather than trying to cut the bottom first as the grass did tend to get wrapped around the disc- I think once I perfected this it worked really well. I used the metal blade, everywhere, my lawn was was well overdue a cut as my mower was being repaired. It's reasonable tough for something so light weight, the metal components were solid. I would have bought their next one up but it was £50 more and looks even more robust, I will see how this goes as my budget wouldn't allow this time, but this Strimmer looked better quality than other comparable ones in the price range; plus they were not trying to sell me a load of extras I didn't really need. Put together easily enough, although the pictures were not very clear, and that might not be so easy for anyone who has not done this sort of thing before, it took me about 5 minutes to assemble once it was unpacked. Two batteries, lasted about 30 minutes max each, a number of different cutting blades, all easy to fit. Glasses and gloves were a good idea for safety and I recommend you use them. Its not probably a good small garden item to have if you just need an occasional strim - I definitely recommend for to occasional tidy up job gardener rather than a professional level.

Overall this has been quite good. Doesn’t strim grass as well as a line strimmer but for weeds and anything bigger it’s proved quite useful. Doesn’t like hitting solid items, the metal sparks and the plastic break, so much better to be used in large open spaces

Wow you get a lot of kit for the money, gloves, goggles, Alan key, metal disc blades, plastic grass blades, a metal cord for harder wood etc, 2 batteries, shoulder strap and a charger. Absolutely bargain at this price.It's a powerhouse piece of garden kit, with a fully adjustable shoulder support strap and safety features. Amazing amount of choices for how you need to tackle garden yard work.Even though it's a sturdy machine in its own right it feels light enough but at the same time strong so that all kinds of gardeners could use it safely and comfortably with practice.I would suggest that you purchase suitable safety footwear as it spins very fast and if you are using the metal blades safety must be paramount. It really is not for the faint hearted.I've only just received it and the inclement weather means I can't see it in action but I believe it will more than tackle the jobs I need doing.

Love it. Simple, lightweight and very effective apart from the circular blade which I found next to useless. The assembly is a doddle and its operation is actually quite satisfying. The metal blades are well able for rough grass and brambles. It's not a big time power horse but gets a hell of a lot done for a fraction of the price of pricier, more complicated strimmers. Warning use the glasses provided as well as good boots and gloves. The blades are fast and you could get a right nasty injury. There's a nut wrench provided: use it to tighten the assembly regularly but dusengage the battery when you do this.

The only complaint and issue I have with this item is that the black plastic blades were too easy to break, 2 broke on me when I first used it.,otherwise it's a good priced decent strimmer that does all sorts of jobs in the garden.

Really good product. Lightweight, battery time is way longer than expected and charging it is a doddle. Go from plug to battery, no faffing around with extra bits. Power is similar to other previously bought brands. Easy to change blades, tool provided. Extendable.Definitely recommend.

My old B&D strimmer needed another battery. This was the second replacement but it was getting old now. I decided not to buy a new NiCad battery as I could buy a whole strimmer with Lithium batteries for about the same price. This one is lighter and (possibly) not as robust as the B&D but it certainly does the job. I have only used it with the metal wire attachment, which strangely is not mentioned on Amazon, and very happy with the results. Time will tell how long it will last but as I haven't got a large garden i'm sure it will be fine for a few years.
