I bought this for a friend and his trike.. He said he knew a guy that would install it for us.. The parts arrived and his friend installed the motor on the trike...... After about 5 miles the wires got all wound up and shorted out... To make a long story shorter ..it was a bone head install mistake.. The "guy" failed to install the tabbed drop out washers, clearly noted on the assembly instructions, correctly. This allowed the motor wheel to spin and twist up the wires... So I decided we would buy another kit and install just the wheel.. When I got the second kit, I was really bummed when I discovered that the wheel was badly bent and had to be returned /replaced.. This process was very smooth and the company was very responsive.. The third kit arrived in a couple of days and I installed it onto the bike myself.. My concerns about the tab washer led me to find an additional part for about 10 bucks that I also used to prevent any potential of torque slip.. This is by far the best bike accessory ever. I get as much fun from it as I used to riding motorcycles. Get it today. Only 1 quick solder job for the main power connector to the battery to xt-60 connectors (sold separately). Get a big ol battery. Lasts about a week. I use it 4x a week and even if I used it more I think it would last the same ammt of time.It's so sturdy, seriously. The only limit is your bike. Even mine that I got from Wally's (cheap cheap) seems sturdy. Just make sure the front forks are thiiick and made of Steel. Do a magnet test and if it sticks its steel. Especially with the front wheel kits. And BUY TORQUE CONVERTERS for the front. They only go on one side. I also had issues with the spacers that go between the wheel nuts and the forks on the front. The washers are hard to get in on a wheel where 1/2 of the bolts can't come off. That's the thing-the side with the cable that controls the wheel has a cable ran through it. I just make sure not to mess with it much.But it rides well and even with many bumps etc I don't feel too unsafe. Just wear a helmet. I'm going to get a full face motocross one. Don't want to mess up my chompers.

I have resolved all issues with the help of customer service that I thought I had with the controller.Good product and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend this ewheel purchase.
