I am not a seamstress but a very new beginner I am. I love this thing it helps me keep straight because I have a problem keeping straight it helps me keep everything straight and in line. I am so new to this, I had to figure out how to use it

Works as it should and has a very strong magnetic.

It was missing the magnetic steel plate (my sewing machine is plastic much off the sewing plate) but the main unit seems very solid & well-built.

The metal plate is not enough for the seam guide to get a good grip on. This will only work with all metal sewing machines. I have a Brother and a White, both with plastic housing. I have to finagle a way to get the seam guide to work with these but haven't quite figured that out yet.

I don't know when this contraption was invented but man what a game changer. Especially as my aging body struggles with keeping things straight. This is way better than a lieve of tape on my machine. Get it you won't be disappointed not to mention you get it for such a low price and won't have to keep replacing tape as it wears off.

Looks like it would be a great little gadget to have but doesn't work with the machine I have my machine has plastic around the area where it is supposed to stick w/magnet but would work perfectly with a different machine

I'm very pleased with this. It's easy to install, no unscrewing or anything. The strong magnet keeps it in place and it doesn't move. It's really helped me sew much straighter. I don't know why I didn't buy it years ago!

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I will comment back once I do. I try to update all of my reviews after some time has passed. The price was too hard to pass on, even though I didn't need it at the moment. It looks well made and it comes with illustrated directions on the package.
