This is the type of case I wanted. Update to discuss camera lens protection.
Here's the deal with this case. The case as others mention is super thin, like extremely super thin. But that's exactly what I'm looking for. The iphone 6 is one of the thinnest phones out there and I don't want to bulk it up with a big otterbox case or something similar. I went out to find the thinnest case for my phone and this is it.Will it protect the phone from a drop getting out of the car? Likely no. Will it protect it if my kid drops it in the grocery cart? Likely no.But will it protect my phone from getting scratches touching my keys in my pocket? YES. Will it protect my phone from scratches when setting it on my desk? YES.My major concern when I first installed the case was the thinness with regards to protecting the camera lens. Prior iphones the camera lens was flush to the phone thus resting the phone on the back with a case of any size the camera lens would not hit the surface and would be protected from scratches. With this case the lens and surrounding encasement is the first part to rest on when placed on a table. Here is why I'm not concerned and will be keeping this case. The lens is made out of sapphire glass. The ability for the lens to get scratched should be measure by hardness level on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness (from 1 to 10, 10 being the strongest). The ability for a mineral to get scratched is how that mineral compares to the other one. A diamond is considered strongest at a 10, and sapphire glass in the iphone 6 lens is a 9. What this means that nothing can scratch the lens (keys, etc.) except diamonds. So if you rest your phone on a table of diamonds the camera lens can get scratched. If you have piles of diamonds lying around you probably don't need a case to begin with.At the end of the day, this is a great case for what it was made for. Just understand what type of case you want, protection from big drops, or protection from scratches, this is only the latter.

Exactly what I thought and wanted...
Just received my Spigen iPhone 6 air skin case (cover) which for the time being replaced the also excellent Case Mate Naked 2 piece case that includes a bumper. I had that one on my iPhone 6 since it's second week of owenership and it offers far better protection than this Spigen cover. This cover is as thin as I can imagine any case ever being while still offering some level of protection. However low that level may be which in this case is pretty minor. No, this case is nowhere near as protective as the Case Mate Naked case but, it's not intended to be nor is it marketed as such. It protects from scratches and light bumps but I don't think it'll do much at all if I happen to drop my phone on anything harder than carpet. I wasn't expecting great protection when I ordered this item, anyone who does is nuts because nothing this thin can possibly protect the phone like an Otterbox would. I wanted a case that adds as little thickness to my beautifully thin iPhone 6 as possible while still protecting the shell of the phone to some degree from minor dings and scratches and I believe that's all this case offers which is all I expect of it. I just got it so longevity has yet to be proven and I hope the case stays on as I put the phone into and pull it out of my pocket where I normally keep it. With this case on the phone, it just about feels as it does when it has no case on it which is ideal for me. The idea that such a beautiful device has to be covered at all really stinks but the alternative stinks more so to me, this is the best compromise that I have found yet. I wish it had a little more grip on the back but it's no worse than the aluminum under it. These phones are expensive so I prefer to learn to simply be careful when handling it instead of relying on a huge, bulky and usually hideous case. With this cover on, I can hardly tell the difference from no case at all which is exactly what I wanted.***update*** almost a week on and the case hasn't budged, come off or deformed in any way while carrying or using the phone. Best of all, it pretty much feels like there is no case on my phone.

It's like wearing your favorite pair of pajamas! ;)
I've been using this case for about few days and, so far, I have no complaints. It's difficult to understand just how thin this "case" is until you get it out of the package and hold it. It's pretty floppy and feels almost like a slightly thick piece of paper. It's obvious it's not meant to protect against falls or hard hits, but it should hold up against scratches and every-day wear and tear pretty well, which is exactly what I wanted. The camera lens does still protrude slightly, but it's definitely less noticeable than without a case. The case does end up sitting almost completely flush with the tops of the volume/power buttons, but it doesn't hinder operation, though it makes it a bit harder to find the buttons in the middle of the night when going by just feel. ;)It fits really snugly and hugs the phone very well. There's no slack whatsoever. It does -not- extend beyond the surface of the screen, so take caution if you like to set your phone on things facing down. You do lose a bit of the "smoothness" compared to the naked phone when swiping left or right since the case does curl around a tad, but it's a much nicer feeling than some of the bulkier cases that just cover up or stick past the rounded edges.I haven't used it with a dock yet, though I can't imagine that it would interfere in any way since the bottom is almost 90% exposed.Even with the satin feel it can be a bit slippery until you get adjusted to how it grips in your hand. I've gotten more comfortable with it, but I'm still slightly worried about it slipping out. Hopefully that'll pass after a few weeks. The only other thing I worry about is trying to remove it. I've had other super-thin cases on my iPhone 5 that just end up cracking when trying to pry them off. The sheer thinness of this case makes me think it would be prone to the same flaw. That said, I don't plan on taking it off anytime soon, so it'll likely be a moot point for me.Overall, this "case" (I would really call it more of a skin) does exactly what I wanted it to do. It adds no discernible bulk and protects it from scratches, dirt, and minor dings without losing that near-naked feel.I'll update this if anything changes in the coming days/weeks.Thanks!

Excellent....adds very little bulk
I'm not sure why people are mentioning the issue surrounding the buttons. I ordered this on the 19th (the day my iPhone 6 arrived) but unfortunately I ordered in the morning and the negative reviews weren't showing. I looked again at the reviews later on in the evening and was disappointed because the new reviews had been posted and thought I had made a mistake.Well...the case arrived today and it's perfect, it's incredibly thin and fits the phone perfectly, the cutouts for the buttons align very well and I can quite easily use the volume, mute and sleep/wake button without any issues, no different to the phone without a case. The only reason I bought this is because I much prefer to use see through sticky skins on my devices so they look totally naked but because the device is so new I can't find any skins that cover the back. So for the interim I thought I would buy this case to stop any scratches/marks to the phone when I put it down. The case is so good I'm not even sure if I'll get a sticky skin when available because this one works so nicely and doesn't add any bulk at all....very similar to a sticky skin. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there's a small Spigen logo on the back, it's pretty subtle but I would prefer it if it was not there and I would have preferred the clear one rather than the grey one I ordered but unfortunately it wasn't in stock and I needed quick protection for my new device.I can only presume others may have received some dodgy cases because the one I have works perfectly....good job.

Looks nice but gives little protection
This is a pretty decent case but has several flaws in how good it protects the phone. On the "small, pretty & inconspicuous" - "big, rugged & ugly" scale, this case leans heavily towards the small & pretty side.First the good points:- It looks and feels like a quality product. The cover is very thin but it definitely feels like it's made of some kind of hi-tech polymer. The fit on the phone is absolutely perfect, not a hair's width off in any area.- The outside of the cover has a matte texture. It's definitely not as slippery as a naked iPhone. Although it has nowhere near the grip of a silicone cover.- There are loads of colours available so you can pick one that fit your phone the best.- The cover is extremely thin. They brag about it in the product description but you don't realise how thin until you see it in real life. It's probably as thick as a couple sheets of paper, if that. When you put it on your phone looks almost exactly like it did naked. Now for the bad stuff:- The cover is too thin to protect the protruding camera lens in the back. If you put your phone on its back, the camera will be in contact with the table.- The cover does not rise above the level of the screen. If you put your phone screen down, the screen will be in contact with the table.- The entire bottom of the phone is unprotected (where the charger and headphones plug are)- After you put on the case the side buttons are a bit harder to press because they end up "buried" inside the holes in the case. It's not a major nuisance but you can feel the difference.- In spite of all this talk of hi-tech polycarbonate polymers I am a bit skeptical of how well this cover will protect the phone if it's dropped. It's just so thin.- Price. It's not outrageously expensive but most other cases (excluding the fancy leather and designer ones) go for half the price. So, in conclusion, this case will protect your phone's back and sides (except the bottom) from scratches and make it a bit less slippery. You also get a variety of colours to customise the look. But as far as protection goes, that's all you get.

Truly is the thinnest case.
I bought this case because I wanted to protect my iPhone from scratches, and to stop it slipping out of my hand and falling all the time!!I am pleased to let you know that this case does both of these things. The case it paper (like tracing paper) thin, which keeps the phone looking thin and sleek as it is designed. It truly is the thinnest case that I've ever seen! The phone looks beautiful in it. The plastic has a nice texture to it and adds the essential grip that was needed. All of the buttons are easy to access, and the case fits nicely around the phone. I liked it how the apple logo is still visible but muted through the translucent plastic.Unfortunately, the case didn't last very long. From the day I got it, there was an imperfection in the plastic, which I decided to ignore because the manufacture of such a thin case is hard enough anyway, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The case scratched incredibly easy, and after a while, the edges and lips started to become rough and meant that the case wasn't comfortable to hold any more. I ended up cutting the case around the bottom to make it a smooth shape again. This is why I have given the case a 4-star review. In the end, I did really like this case. It was exactly what I wanted. It added a small amount of protection without adding too much thickness, and kept the phone looking sleek and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this case if all you want is to add extra grip and scratch protection to you iPhone.

Fulfils its purpose 100%
This is the best iPhone 6 case I have had.VALUE FOR MONEYIf you want to spend lots of money on protecting your phone from MAJOR damage, this may not be the best case for you. But if you are looking for a case to compliment your iPhone this case is great value for money. It is expensive for the amount of protection it gives; however, it definitely does not take away from the design of the phone what so ever. It is definitely worth the money as it is from a trust worthy brand and feels as if it will last a long time - certainly longer than any case I've ever had before.APPEARANCEThe case is has a frosted finish so is slightly opaque but does not completely conceal the detail on the back of the phone i.e. the Apple sign.I have a the silver iPhone 6 so the frosted case gives a seamless finish as from the front of the phone the case is invisible as it curves around the edges so closely and blends in with the white border around the screen.Since the case has a frosted finish, its texture is not completely smooth like the back of the actual phone. The phone by itself is slippery and often falls out of my hand so the case gives some extra grip without it getting stuck in my pockets as it is still very smooth and sleek. Also, the logo "Spigen" is very discrete so doesn't detract away from the phone.Other reviews have mentioned that it scratches easily. I agree. Even after I had put it on my phone for the first time there were a few scratches on it but they are only noticeable in certain lights so this is only a minor problem.HOW IT IMPACTS ON FUNCTION OF PHONEThe case doesn't cover any of the button or ports at the bottom but it is flush with them so none of the buttons jut out like they would if there was no case on it. The case does not make it difficult to use any of the buttons or ports.PROTECTIONThe case is extremely thin so does not level off the protrusion of the camera. However, there are small feet at each corner of the case (which are barely noticeable) which ensure the phone is not wobbly or uneven when laid flat with the camera side on the table. This also offers protection for the camera. The feet raise the phone from a flat surface ever so slightly so this prevents the case becoming dirty. The case has obviously been carefully designed to provide (minimal) protection whilst keeping it extremely thin and sleek.I am confident that the case will give some protection if dropped on a hard floor as it covers the phone well. But if you are looking for a case which will offer maximum protection this is not the case for you!Overall, this is the best case I have ever had. Its appearance is almost non-existant as it is so thin that you can barely notice it and this is exactly what I want.
