Great System. Very Pleased
With some of the reviews on this system ranging from ok to poor, I figured I should offer my own. Keep in mind that this, as any aftermarket system, is exactly that, aftermarket. With a price point under $200 you can't beat it. Price out an OEM replacement and you'll understand. I installed this system myself as I am quite familiar with electronics and this was not my first install by any means. I also purchased a PAC Audio SWC interface because I wanted to retain my steering wheel buttons control. You MUST follow the wiring scheme precisely. For the most part, most of the wire color codes (specifically for the speakers) were identical, however, there are a few that are NOT. Sometimes the description differs. If you're unsure or don't know, call support. Note: this system has the 3.5mm jack specifically for the SWC controller. Some of the old manuals you may download don't show this, they just indicate Key A, Key B and ground. I was pleased to find the 3.5mm jack which makes it a no-brainer. Although the system allows for reprogramming of the buttons, I chose to use the default settings and it was 100% plug and play!I also purchased the Metra 95-6511 for use in my Jeep. This installation was flawless and it looks great! Keep in mind you should check the fit in the dash panel while it's out. I had to move the system as far reward as it would go to get the perfect fit.I was very pleased with the functionality of the system. The GPS is a lot like a TomTom. The sound is great and it has two sub outputs. Instructions are ok. They leave some detail out but for the most part it's to the point. Bluetooth to my phone worked well as well as synchronizing my contacts. Conclusion: very nice system at a great price.

Looks great, fits great in my 2003 Chevy S-10 quadcab 4x4 pickup
Love it. Really modernized my old truck. The rear camera was easy to install by using the INCLUDED hole saw. Wow! But the center drill bit in the hole saw wasn't the best, so I drilled a pilot hole with a good drill bit of about the same size. Then I used their hole saw and mounted the camera right beside the license plate.I did have to buy an extra video cable due to the length of the truck and the way I routed the wire. (about $7 on Amazon). I had some questions about the camera wiring, and the tech support responded within an hour. I bugged them 3-4 times and they responded quickly.I had wanted a rearview camera and decided this model would give me that AND navigation for a really reasonable price. I did order the suggested Metra mounting bracket, the antenna adapter AND a wiring harness. Even the colors matched. I soldered the Boss plug wires to the adapter plug and it all worked the first time. Navigation seemed slow, until I realized it was finding a route to somewhere back east as the default "home" . Once I entered my real home address, it found it very quickly.Hard to find all the different setup screens to change/personalize the screen, but once you do, it is easy. Well worth the approximately $175 it cost me for the radio and the other items.***Update***After I got it all installed, I found that the CD player would not accept the disk. I contacted the VERY helpful BOSS support, and they told me I had apparently gotten a lemon and suggested I return it to Amazon as it would be much faster for me. I have never used Amazon't "replacement" option for a defective product before, but it worked smoothly and I received the replacement 2 days later.I removed the radio unit from the replacement box and replaced it with the defective one to send back with all the rest of the parts (wiring, camera, etc.). I installed the replacement head unit and it works flawlessly. So a word of advice, before you put your dash completely back together, test all the features of the unit...not just the radio and camera like I did.

I like it, works very well. Updated 2012
finally got it installed. Some people say it looks dated. But compared to my stock CD player it is quite an improvement. Having a touch screen in a 1990s Chevy Blazer. Sounds as good as my original head unit because I'm using my aftermarket amps and speakers my original radio was failing in the stock one in the CD player was starting to give up. It was time to get a new one. And I wanted to upgrade to a touch screen. I'm quite happy with it. I think it's a little on the expensive side compared to what you can find on eBay but those are no names and that kind of scares me. Oh and I was wondering about this. If it had the illumination wire that goes to the headlight switch. And it does. You turn your headlights on and the unit dims for night time driving. In case anybody was interested. I was and I could not find the answer. And I've been unable to hook up the rear trigger for the camera. It seems my reverse light switch is down on the transmission. Have to consider what to do about that. I have a camera hooked up with the wireless transmitter. And that does work. But without the trigger wire hooked up it does not turn on.got a chance to use the navigation system today. Works very well. Much better than my cell phone and better than my old TomTom. Thought maybe I had a problem playing wav and wma music through an SD card. Playes thewav and wma on a CD fine. So I tried a new 32gig SD card. Because I have wav and mp3 music on my computer from downloading from my albums. And this one work just fine. Very happy!Hooked up triggering wire to b/u bulb. Works very well. My wireless transmitter is not good, seems like interfere. When there is .no interfere it has a great picture. Impressed. Recomend it for a very good head unit!It up to five stars. It really does work very well. Especially with my separate amplifiers and aftermarket speakers. the touchscreen does take a little getting used to. Sometimes it's very sensitive. GPS works perfectly. Plays my SD cards perfectly. Wrong with my CDs. GPS works perfectly. Plays my SD cards perfectly. Also please my CDs pretty much any format I have tried. WMA, Wav, Flac, Mp3..Update, been a few weeks now. still very happy with this unit. there are quite a few little adjustments you can do for brightness and sound etc.etc. if you notice the last picture. It is of the volume knob. There is a lighted ring behind it. But the knob is too big to see the ring around the knob. What a shame. that is probably the most negative thing I have found so far. Oh and you disconnect the battery everything has to be reset. which is probably fairly normal. But there are a lot of settings that I like to change for my preferenceI hope Daniel one of the reviews. Said radio is to loud. There are master volume adjustments. The radio is loud but not crazy like he said. Try that adjustment. There u can all output volume. My problem is the map software was over 2 years old when i bought the stereo. Did not know at the time. I still contacted Boss within the warranty. It is a SD card. There solution was take out the whole stereo and sand it back! Would take weeks. Other solution was buy another one and exchange the sd card. I would have to pay$300. not sure why it was so much. ,Paid $160 for mine. I just wanted a up to date map! It would be to easy to just a sd card, OMG!! Other than that it works well. But maps are old. Tyed to bye one form the map company Ndrve. $50. Also had to a EU paypal account or Visa. Did not know that you had to have a EU Visa or EU paypal. got fed up. My phone Google map works better anyway. A little pissed. I moved to a new city and wanted a good dash map navigator. oh well.
