Decent Overview, but Lacks Depth
Stahl's Illustrated Substance Use and Impulsive Disorders offers a cursory overview of its subjects but falls short in terms of content depth and structure. Topics seem scattered, presenting only basic and generalized information. While it serves as a starting point, readers seeking in-depth analysis may find themselves wanting. Average content organization, with surface-level information.

A most valuable and non-impulsive purchase
Working with addiction and Adult ADHD, this book is both an essential and understandable presentation for all those looking to understand the neurobiology and pharmacological treatments of these incredibly common conditions. Every psychiatrist should have this on their desk as an essential source to gain the necessary expert knowledge. Our patients deserve that we read and assimilate this book's information.

Good
Speaking from no experience and very little education of drugs and how they work within our neurological system...it is not a layman's book. Some of it is not so hard to grasp, but I think a person would need to have a educational background to really enjoy! I gave it the nurse practitiooner I work with and she was verrrrryyyyy appreciative.
