There's no load control here as it's strictly a “solar charger", so anything related to DC load must be wired directly from battery.

Q: Is there a usb cable that can be purchased to use with the RS485 Interface?

Hi, the default comm port is RS232 type, not RS485. it's a DB9-RJ45 cable that's included, but no, we don't provide USB adaptor however you can purchase them in computer stores if you require USB connection instead (RS232-USB adaptor).

Q: What is the awg (gauge) and the hole size of the battery wire that is included?

It's max 2 AWG for the main terminal, for more info, please see manual: http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/PCM-60X/PCM-60X-MPPT-3KW.pdf starting page 5. Also, please be advised we do NOT include battery wires because this would vary between users so you need to source your own based on the project requirement. The included wire is the BVS (voltage sensor) wires.

Q: I need to run a minimum of 2 controllers, up to 3 eventually, in parallel, so do I need any additional hardware?

No. Simply wire them the same way you would individually, as if it's a single-unit system. There's no inter-wiring required between controllers as each controller is responsible for its own charging. It'll adjust charging current as the battery becomes gradually full.

amazing solar charger!!!

This by far the Best battery charger I have ever used including a Grid type /120 volt charger this unit will charge our solar bank 12 -84 amp hr 24 volt series parallel configuration AMG batteries that are about 80 percent discharged in about 3 hours when we have 600 watts of PV available. Have not had any issue with this charge controller in over 3 years this a BEST BUY built like a tank !
