Nice and lightweight, worth the price
This is a quality knife that is quite sharp out of the box and what I would expect from a Benchmade item. This is my seventh Benchmade knife and I will continue to purchase this brand of knife. Consistently high quality and USA made. This is one of the more inexpensive Benchmade knives, but well worth the price. This is a very lightweight, yet apparently sturdy knife. A good candidate for an every day carry knife. I had to lubricate it and adjust it slightly for my own personal preference so it would open quickly and easily based on my natural thumb pressure and "wrist flick", but this is not an issue. I adjust most of my folding knives. The only minor issue I do have is that the release button (AXIS lock) sticks a bit, even with lubrication. Most of this is personal preference, however, the button does not protrude far from the handle and is relatively smooth. It is not as easily retracted to allow the knife to be closed as I would like. I'd like a more textured button and a bit more protrusion. However, if you can overlook this, the knife is very good looking, lightweight, sharp and fine looking blade design, opens quickly and easily (with those adjustments I spoke of earlier), and of an excellent quality.

Good EDC
I bought the Benchmade 350 back in 1999 and found this updated and slightly larger 530 to be easier to open and close but still have the quality Benchmade is known for adn the AXIS Lock is easier to operate on this model. I prefer handles made from titanium, aluminum, or G10 but this FRN is OK to make it more economical and lighter weight. The knife disappears when attached to your pocket; it's unobtrusive and extremely light. The painted pocket clip started to chip so I cleaned off the remining paint and now have a shiny clip, older Benchmades didn't have that problem, the one's I've bought at least. But overall it's still a good knife. Blade and steel quality are phenomenal, but most Blue Class Benchmades are.

Really nice blade!
Practical, lightweight, I am really happy with the purchase of this product. Made in the USA, knives should all be constructed this well. I wear this knife everyday as my go-to box openning, rope cutting, wire-stripping/any-light-duty cutting requirements handled with ease tool. Knife holds an edge well and sharpens to razor again quickly. This knife is stylish and fits well in the pocket, clip is secure but knife draws easily, locking/opening mechanism is faithful, adjustable, and fun. One-handed openning is accomplished with almost no effort. I would recommend this product to anyone who desires a "real blade" to carry but does not want to weigh down their pants overly to do it. Size is also perfect for my needs, neither too small nor too large. One point that should be noted is that the paint used on the clip is perhaps a little insufficient. Enamel becomes scratched relatively quickly with regular-duty use (for me this is not an issue because I think the effect only adds character). If the design as seen in the photo appeals to you, than buy this knife, you will not be disappointed.

Good knife but..
First off this is a decent knife. It is exceptionally light, but as other reviews stated it is not for heavy cutting. My only real problem with this knife is the axis lock and recessed grip for the lock. Using one thumb to release the blade caused the mechanism to lock up and took some force to fix. I used some CLP and loosened the blade, everything functioned much better but I still recommend using a thumb and forefinger for reliable use of the axis lock. Lightest quality knife I've ever had.

Excellent Knife, Excellent Size
The knife is everything I was looking for... Unreasonably sharp and thin for most tasks, extremely thin for easy carry, made with quality steel to keep an edge for a long time. The lock takes a bit of getting used to and will give you a blister if you open repeatedly. But, now that I am comfortable with handling it, the knife is my favorite daily carry knife that I have ever had.If you are wondering if the knife is worth the money, it is. I wanted to initially test the edge when I removed the knife from the bubble envelope packaging it arrived in... the knife slid through many layers of paper and plastic like it was a freaking lightsaber.

Grippy, Sharp, Quality
The action is smooth, the blade is sharp, the knife is light, the materials are tough.I did a lot of research looking for a knife to take climbing and backpacking. I ended up getting this. It stays closed when you expect it to, open when you need it to, and it operates smoothly one handed - both opening and closing. The metal is high quality, and it's made in the USA.I got this as the thinner, lighter, alternative to the benchmade griptilian. Get that if you want something beefier. But get this if you want something that will disappear in your pocket until you need an edge.

Cool knife, not for me.
I ordered this and the Benchmade Vex at the same time. I ended up keeping the Vex and sending this guy back. The Axis lock is really great and works perfectly, but this knife felt far too light for me, and the blade feels too thin to do any rugged cutting tasks.A decent knife with a pretty cool spear point blade but overall a little bit too wimpy for what I was looking for.
