Marina Betta Kit LED Light

I've owned both the Marina Zen cube and now the Half-moon betta "kit" aquariums. I would suggest the half-moon is a lot better, since bigger and there is a lot more room for the fish to swim. Unlike the cube one, which is just way to small (they're very pretty, but my betta could barely swim in that thing! very unhealthy).This light really ads up a lot to the beauty of the aquarium and the fish. I've put transparent blue glass rocks at the bottom, and the light would reflect on it making beautiful blue reflections. It's very pretty. It made my aquarium look like a piece of art, and my fish seems to like it.I LOVE it!!I only wish there was a switch button. There is none. You have to unplug it to turn it off. But I might have a work around, since I'm considering getting a timer to automatically have the light turned on and off at the right time of the day.On a side note, this lamp will not light up nearly as well if you have the cube version of the aquarium, because of it's design (the light only lighten up the back of the aquarium). I really recommend getting the half-moon version of the aquarium for the same price, not only is it bigger (and better for the fish, plus you get enough room to have some live plants in that thing -- very pretty, and the betta will love it), but the light will look a lot nicer.However, I do think this item is way overpriced for what it is. And at the local pet store, it was even more expensive! I find this quite ridiculous when I think of it, after all it's really just a cheap LED light (probably worth like 50 cents) and a small transfomer (probably made in china for a dollar). But it makes the aquarium look so much nicer.

Overall I like this light... I was very hesitant due to complaining reviews... In the end it depends on how you look at it and what you are expecting...I attached it to my Betta “E-Z Care Plus” Tank.. Tank is made to fit this, it has mounting holes.I look at this as being like a ray of sunshine glistering through the waters.. Yes it does focus on one spot but as my pic shows it does give some illumination to tank as a whole.... What I was looking for is simply giving the Betta more than ambient room daytime light.. Got it with this light.I don’t like how there is no on-off button.. Would have been easy for them to include it. And I wouldn’t call this a great deal, it is overpriced for what it is... With those two factors I deducted 1 of 5 stars. I got a near perfect unit from Amazon Warehouse Deals so I got it at a more reasonable price so i’m happy and Shelby (my red betta) is happy ;)

This light did not fit our Marina aquarium as expected, but I was able to rig it in a way to make it work. Not 100% happy with the outcome, but it makes my 2 yr old happy to be able to see his betta fish at bedtime, so we decided to roll with it. It gets the job done, but double check your model of aquarium before purchasing!

I purchased this to fit on a Marina EZ care betta tank but unfortunately it must be meant for a different Marina tank. I did end up having to submit for return, and they refunded my money with no issues. The light would have been nice for this little tank. It is a pin point like some people have said but I still liked the way it looked, wish it would have fit properly

Perfect for my small fish tank. Keeps water warm and let’s me know the temperature of the water at all times.

I have 3 beta tanks so got three of these. I love the idea of these lights but they don't really illuminate the tanks and these tanks are pretty small. The lights are made for the tanks I have, the beam is like a pin dot in a dark hall. I think that if there were more lights on the mount or if the bulb was bigger it would work better. I love the Marina brand but this light disapoints me. I give it a 2 rating but my husband gives them a 3.

Very direct and muted light. Points straight down into the back centre of the tank, not really spreading out much at all. not worth it for the price of this thing.

Comme dit juste avant, ça n'éclaire pas!(une ampoule led grosse comme une tête d'allumette)Au sens ou ce n'est pas une lampe pour faire vivre les poissons, mais un petit plus déco, jolie lumière bleutée qui se reflète sur le Betta.Les combattants n'aimant pas la lumière vive ou directe, c'est juste parfait.Le transfo a une bonne longueur de fil, interrupteur bizarre, il faut tourner le fil d'1/4 de tour.Ce produit à l'air de bonne qualité mais reste cher pour ce que c'est.

This light is very tiny. We used it for a small betta aquarium. Works for that.
