Wire Loom Harness Tape, Wiring Harness Cloth Tape

I have installed numerous wiring harnesses and wrapped them with all types of products from electrical tape to the plastic tubing. I purchased this product to give a more vintage look, and it worked perfectly. First thing to remember is that this is not really a tape, the adhesive on it is made to stick to itself, which it does very well. Once you wrap your harness, this product is difficult to remove. However if you are looking for a vintage or unique look for your wiring job, this will fit your needs.

I needed some cloth tape to add to my new PC case with tempered glass side panel after reading horror stories of peoples TG side panels breaking during dusting/maintenance procedures (due to the bare edge of the glass scraping something hard then shattering). I was unable to find 1/4" wide black, cloth tape on a good deal so I decided to use this stuff and trim the width down as needed. The job required2 applications as the glass cleaner I chose for cleaning the TG got under the tape and was preventing it from sticking. I think some foam-tape might've been the better choice but I feel much safer with this tape in place over nothing at all. Plus, now I have some good quality cloth tape for various other prjects from crafting & cosplay to good ol' wrenching on automobiles.

I bought this tape to use for other things than in my car. It might be overkill but I needed a cloth tape with good adhesion, that was easy to use and was not sticky to the touch once I used it. So far, it met all those needs...and I have plenty left for other projects.

This tape has the right size, thickness and the adhesive does not get sticky if there is a need for "re-work", but it sticks perfectly while wrapping. Some people thinks that using these in car installations installation is over complicating. Well I call it the right way to do things. I totally recommend this on any wire run under the dash or under any trims in vehicles.

The tape material is spot on; looks and acts like high quality OEM harness wrap. However, the adhesive is marginal at best. If the last wrap isn't 100% overlap with a prior wrap of the tape, it won't stick (to other material)...just one corner not stuck to cloth tape underneath will start your whole wrap unraveling. Even with it wrapped over itself, I've had it start unwrapping even in room temperature conditions prior to putting parts back on the vehicle. I even tried warming the tape with a heat gun to promote adhesion; this seems to be the ONLY thing that helps (and isn't always practical). It'd be a perfect product if the adhesive had 50-100% more bonding power.

Great product. Much better than wrapping wires with electrical tape. This is a cloth material that won't get brittle and the glue won't get runny and sticky like electrical tape.
