Zhena's Gypsy Chai Black Tea, Vanilla, 22 Count

Okay, now I tend to try the taste of teas with no sweetenersconsidering I get stuck at work and no one shares sugar or cream, you're kinda on your own if you forget to bring a packetSo I drink my teas blackAnd this chai...Not as strong as i'd hoped:(I LOVE chaiIt's warm, peppery, savory, sweet, oh so full of spice, add some sweet milk and I meltI've had so many Earl Grey green from Zhena's that I decideHeyIt's time to strike out, try new thingsTry a new Zhena'stry ALL the teas!There's not alot of Vanilla to this tea, more a muted chai bitterness and some weird musky taste???But the smellllllllSO GOODJust wished the tea tasted this wayMaybe I should add more sugar?

I was disappointed by this tea. I love Zhena's gypsy tea and have had many of their flavors. This one was almost like it was the wrong tea in the can. It tasted very much like apple and smelled like apple cider. Even my husband said the room smelled like apple pie when he walked by. It reminded me of their caramel apple tea. It was not what I expected. I could taste the vanilla behind the apple flavor, but I got very little of the chai spice - in that respect it was quite bland. I was hoping for a nice spicy chai with warm vanilla notes and this was not it.

I've always had good luck with this. Love the taste hot or iced with some honey and a bit more vanilla if I'm feeling indulgent. We go through about 2 cans a month and always order here. Have had a couple that have been dented and unable to open, but they were replaced no problem.

All of the zhena teas are delicious, but this is my favorite for hot OR cold. Over ice in the summer it is really yummy! I just wish their cans were easier to open.

I bought a can of this at the local store and loved it. When I found it at Amazon I was excited about the price. When item arrived I tried it and was disappointed. Quality seems poor compared to the first can I tried, flavor a bit off. Maybe i just got a bad can?

They taste pleasant. However, bags are flimsy and small, and they have to steep for quite a while before you get any strength of flavor.

Zhena teas are the best Chai teas out there. I can't be without them in the house. Highly recommended! Warm up some milk, add sweetener, and it's comfort every evening. I also love Caramel Chai and Hazelnut Chai flavors.
