Loving the curve. Wish Samsung still made them.
So I've been watching these curves ever since they came out. The one I wanted was around $2800. I watched that number fall to around $1800 as newer models of the curve were produced and decided to keep my eye on it. Circumstances being what they were, I was only just able to order one a few weeks back. I purchased after someone in a local retail store let me know that Samsung quit producing the curve because they had too much trouble moving them. I was a little shocked to hear that. These things look absolutely gorgeous. With that said... the TV itself:The curve depth on this model is not too deep; it's just enough to really add to the immersion experience when watching the right movies. Resolution, brightness, clarity, HDR, are all... well, they don't really need reviewed here, you can read the specs, but the picture looks absolutely fantastic. The "out of the box" experience I had with this television was by far the best I've ever had with any product I've ever purchased from anyone, not just Samsung. I plugged this thing in and it asked me to open smart things on my phone. I did. I followed the 2 or so simple instructions afterwards and the TV was ready to go. I never connected a network cable, I never setup wifi, I didn't do anything. SmartThings did it all and I had never used smarthings on my phone before. I've worked in IT for 19 years and I was a little impressed that it was internet connected as fast as it was. I am guessing the wifi network settings were communicated from the phone to the TV, but it never asked and it didn't explain. It was simply online and ready for use. I was able to sign in and test Netflix within 2 minutes of having the TV powered on (that alone was enough to make the wife happy). Now let's talk about ARC! It works! It works really well! No hiccups, no fighting -- So on day two, I hooked up the receiver and Bose surround sound. Admittedly, I didn't notice the HDMI ARC port at first and was left wondering how I was going to get audio from the apps that are built into the TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc...) out to the receiver. I mean usually Netflix (sorry I keep using them as the prime example) would be running on something like my PS3. Then I could make the PS3 the input source at the receiver and let it output the video only to the TV. Sound at this point isn't an issue, the speakers are connected directly to the receiver. But now Netflix is running directly on the TV itself... So how am I supposed to make the TV the audio source at the receiver, but have it send video back to the TV? The TV can't be using both HDMI channels simultaneously to accomplish this. (Media experts reading this probably recognize this is a foolish question, I've had 0 experience with ARC up to this point). The mental gymnastics almost frustrated me, but then I saw that one of the HDMI ports was labeled, "HDMI ARC". I've never used it, but I've heard of it and what I heard wasn't good. I heard ARC was only ever a good idea, but in practice didn't work very well. If you heard the same thing, have no fear of it here. It works great. I connected the HDMI ARC to an HDMI input on my old Sony Receiver (old 900 watt thing. I have a much better Onkyo that I need to unbox) and it just worked. I mention the old receiver so readers wondering about this understand that they don't have to have anything special to make ARC work. It just works. The TV is also super smart. As soon as it was connected, I could hit the volume buttons on the remote that came with this thing and it was sending volume up/down directly to the receiver. The TV speakers cut off automatically and audio was automatically switched to the receiver. The commands for audio are automatically sent to the receiver. I never had to configure anything in the TV. Once physically connected, this TV does the rest. Absolutely everything is made easy and headache free for the user. If a movie is paused long enough to make the receiver go to sleep, the audio is cut back over to the TV. If during media playback, you power the receiver back on, it automatically switches the audio back over to the receiver. In my case, there's also no delay. I lose 0 seconds of audio when the switch happens, it's instantaneous.I connected an NTFS formatted USB thumb drive with a video on it to the TV. Normally, I'd expect an error indicating that the TV doesn't work with NTFS (because Microsoft owns that) and that I need to connect something formatted FAT, exFAT, or some other open format. That didn't happen here. The pop up I got came immediately after connecting the device and it stated that it saw only 1 video file on the device and asked me if I wanted to play it. I hit the ok button on the remote and video just started playing. Fantastic, great looking, 4k video, just started playing. Audio still going exactly where it is supposed to.I haven't run into a con yet and since these aren't in production anymore, I was able to pick one up from Amazon for only $699.

Great TV The 2.4 WiFi doesn’t matter. It’s the BEST WiFi tv I have owned
I have another 60 inch flat panel. Both the curved and the flat panel have beautiful pictures. I know the OLED at three times or four times the cost is supposed to be the way to go but I just can’t imagine the picture being any better I feel like I’m there. I have seen some reviews complaining about it only sets up for 2.4 Wi-Fi. This is actually true but it doesn’t really matter . I saw where one person actually sent the TV back because it only set up for 2.4 but it really doesn’t matter because it will take the Wi-Fi if your router is 5.0 it doesn’t make any difference and the real kicker is it has the best Wi-Fi connection of any smart TV I’ve ever had and I have three at the moment my house is pretty big. When I go on Netflix and do the test to see what it is bringing in it brings in 97.80 My TVs the other two that you can set up for 5G they are never over 20 or 25mps at best.. even though this TV will only set up for 2.4 Wi-Fi it picks up and receives the signal better than any TV I have that picks up the five signal. I have a 55“ x 60“ and now the 65 inch it picks up four times better so I think the guy might’ve made a mistake sending it back because it only picks up 2.4. As far as the curved picture I think it’s about the same as the flat. Both are just incredible!!!

It's the CABAL man! This is a really fun 4k TV at the right price. Hope it lasts 10yrs!
This review will expand. 1st. Curved is fun, why not! Nice picture overall. I moved up from 42" 08' Samsung which is still going strong in the bedroom! Not worried about 5g. 4k is plenty nice. Only issue so far is I lost original remote unpacking (oye vey!) Got full Samsung compatible remote which works well EXCEPT for changing picture ratio aspect (16:9 , stretch etc.) Says function not available. Got genuine replacement Samsung remote but it only turns set on/off for now. Will update. Mine hangs over fireplace on big omni directional arm. This TV mount rocks! PLAY 70. Keep in mind u need ample vertical placement for the TV to set close to the wall! Mine's out a little bit but I actually like that!

Outstanding TV for the money
This TV was an early Christmas present. It's about as big as the room allows, and because the TV sits in a corner location, the curve looks nice. That shape serves no purpose beyond the aesthetic, but it definitely works for a corner position. In all other regards, the TV is perfect for my needs. The picture is sharp and clear, the built-in speakers are surprisingly good, and I found the remote and menu system intuitive and easy to use.

Great TV!
I bought this TV for a Christmas gift for my hubby two years ago. Still great picture quality and works like new. I thought it’d take a while to get used to the curve, but honestly, you don’t even notice it after a little bit lol! Seriously a great buy, and one that’s worth the money!

It's big!
Holy cow it's big! Plenty of features. ARC connects to my receiver and functions perfectly. My 55 inch has smart remote, which I prefer. With this one I'm back to fumbling around for the correct button. I can't seem to get the brightness level where I want but other than that, I love it. I bought the curved model because I have a corner application. Would not recommend if used on a flat wall.

Not sure if you should buy? You should!
A VERY VERY nice TV. Good features, good quality, and I have ZERO cons to add to that statement. The refresh rate, image quality, and features are very good. I upgraded my streaming service to the 4K and am blown away at the visual quality experience. This is worth buying, hands down.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
While shopping for a new TV in a store a customer approached me and shared how he had recently bought a "Curved TV" and he said it was the best "investment" he had ever made. When browsing "smile.amazon" (purchases go towards the charity of my choice) I was impressed with the choices plus the value of the Samsung Curved 65" TV. The freight company Amazon used was more than expected plus the delivery was 5 days earlier than scheduled! The two gentlemen were totally professional and very knowledgeable and had the unit up-and-running within half-an-hour. This, by far, is the total home viewing experience! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO EVERYONE ! ! !
