Seems very effective, I've used it twice now on my very nervous lab with long front claws. I did buy Duracell rechargeable batteries the 2400 version but they are too big and don't fit. So back to regular Duracell batteries.

Louder than some rechargeable ones but so much more powerful the noise doesn’t really matter - our bull terrier has always had to be sedated to get his nails trimmed - never ideal! This product is so quick at filing the nails that it’s over before he can protest....the finer sanding band is also great for any calluses too

I suspected that this not working properly when I first got it as it would slow right down when I was using it, even with gentle pressure on the nail. I finally got one of the stall holders at Working and Pastoral Breeds Championship yesterday, who sell the Oster nail files, to check it for me and he confirmed that it was faulty.

Good for a cordless filer, but tends to use up battery power quicker than I expected

Difficult to use but probably because the dog doesn't cooperate!

Very pleased with this nail filer. My Dalmatian was terrified of having her nails clipped but after gradually getting her used to the sound of this grinder, she will lay still for me to file her nails a little at a time and she especially enjoys her biscuit afterwards!
