This works well, but read the directions Carefully
The unit fits nicely into my electrical box. The electrical connection is fairly straightforward, but it's important to read the instructions carefully. The unit is shipped with the faceplate attached which hides the connection screws, and the instructions show a push-in connection for the wires from the side. However, if you force the wire in at an angle, it can bypass the connection. This may allow the unit to function for a time, but it is very dangerous. To properly connect the wires, you need to remove the faceplate and look behind it. You'll see two Phillips head screws, one on each side of the control. Partially unscrew these two screws to open the connectors on the sides, allowing you to insert your wires. Once the wires are in place, be sure to tighten the screws.

It does the job nicely !
I ordered this mechanical timer switch for my master bathroom heat lamp and I'm thrilled with it. I spent lots of time in hotels for my job before retiring and these timers are common in rooms. This switch was installed in a single box, by itself, and operates only the heat lamp, so the install was a breeze. It seems to be made well, and timer is accurate, and it looks great on the wall. I did have to bend the wires 90 degrees to make a neat connection in the box, but it was no problem, and the switch is recessed for that reason where the wires sit. It's a nice switch, does the job, and took 5 mins to install. I always loved these switches in hotels, and now I have my own, at home ! I would recommend this switch to anyone.

Adds safety to a forgettable appliance
I had other plans for this originally,, but they didn't work out and it's actually more appropriate for my eventual use.I have a water boiler hot pot like college kids use for the ramen noodles, and I have already I think 3 times forgotten to turn it off. I have it running with a temp controller so it maintains a fairly (within 5 deg) constant temperature. This I power on via the GFI buttons on the AC cord I repurposed for it. Now the timer is going in before the plug. I can set it for 20 minutes which is about the longest I ever need it, if I remember to turn it off I can use the GFI rather than force the timer to zero, then the timer can just continue until done. Or it will shut off on it's own, rather than run for 3 hours til I notice.

Nice timer, instructions could be better
Got this timer for my bathroom fan. It was relatively simple to install, my only qualm is that it doesnt tell you to take off the timer plate to access the screws to tighten when you insert the wires. Took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure that out because I was worried about disassembling it. But other than that it was easy to install and so far has been working great.

Switch does not work
This switch is apparently cheaply made and does not function properly Don't have the time to return it I'll just find a different one and hopefully it will fill the gap would not recommend purchasing this switch.

Simple to install, hard to set accurate timing
This mechanical countdown timer is easy to install. The package came with a timer, a faceplate, two small screws, and a small instruction manual. It's easy to install and the device did not required a neutral wire. It used the push wire option, and although this may not be as secure as the screws to lock in the electrical wires, it is much simpler to install. My only issue with this timer is that it's is hard to set the accurate countdown time since it is analog. There's no easy way to accurately set the timer for 5 minutes and 30 seconds, so if you do not care about the accuracy, this device will work for you.
