Q: How should I mix the gas and 2 cycle oil

Within the kit that comes with the brush cutter, there's a white plastic container for mixing the fuel and the 2-Stroke Oil, which is relatively simple to understand (although it appears complicated at first). Locate the engine mixture ratio, it's on the Proyama Performance Power Label adjacent to the pull-string start. It should read 40:1, i.e. 40 mls of fuel mixes with 1 ml of 2-Stroke oil. The supplied (white) mixing container has two caps and two compartments, the larger volume for the fuel and the smaller volume (compartment) for the 2-Stroke oil. (You can mix up to 1 Litre of fuel). The raised surface indicators are either 1 Litre or 0.5 Liters. On the oil reservoir compartment, locate the measurement/indicator that says 40:1 (not the 25:1) and fill up with oil to either 0.5 Level or 1 Litre level. There you go, that's it. Q: How do you change the trimmer line spool?

You shouldn’t have to change the spool just add new line. you have to push on the sides of the head. The head will come off and you just pull the spool off to add more line. Hope this helps.

Q: What size string does this take? I have read the manual and it doesn't say.

.095 would be fine. any gas trimmer can use almost any size string but the thicker sizes last longer.
