Eh
The ratcheting pin easily binds. The kit came with light rust on some pieces. I find myself maintaining these with penetrating oil. Not the end of the world, but the issue with using penetrating oil to get the ratcheting pin to cycle is that it makes its way on the surface that grips your fastener. At that point, you might find yourself slipping over the fastener in the direction that the crow's foot is supposed to tighten. It's a thin line to balance on.

Ratcheting crow foot wrenches...why didn't I think of that?
Seem to hold as well as a regular crow foot wrench pulling one way, and provide for ratcheting action the other way. They seem about as strong as the regular GrarWrench crow foot wrenches I already had. They only ratchet one way, to reverse, you have to remove it from your ratchet or extension and flip it over to go from tightening to loosening. Typical GearWrench quality, very good for the money, but won't be mistaken for Snap-On (but cost 1/4 the price or less). These are one of those things that you probably won't use it very often, but when you do it will be a great time saver. A clever idea, that actually works, built with decent quality, and at a reasonable price. A good value specialty tool.

New - Used Product?
Let me start off by saying Iโm a huge fan of GearWrench tools. I usually leave a 5 star review as I truly believe their quality, durability, and functionality compete with the big tool brand names. Unfortunately this order was one of slight frustration.I opened the Amazon package and upon first glance it seemed to be in the original plastic wrap. Once I removed the plastic sleeve I noticed a light Rust residue on all the Crows Feet. I overlooked it as it seemed to only be on the plastic lid but looking closer I noticed some did actually have surface rust and others had metal imperfections (as in the pictures above). By no means am I saying this has affected the functionality or durability of the product as I have used them multiple times since and they worked just fine.My review is simply based off the product I received. I purchased a new product but received what seemed like used tools from someone elseโs toolbox and then repackaged. I will continue to buy GearWrench tools and just hope this was a fluke.

Cheaper than snapon work just as good.
Wish sizes were stamped or forged instead of laser etched will wear off in time.

Not as usefull as i had hoped.
They seem to be good quality in make, and a great idea in theory. However in practice they leave somehong to be desired. Problem one is that it is difficult to use the ratcheting mechanism on the crowsfoot while also using the ratchet on the extension you would normally associate with using a crowsfoot. They do work however if you are able to grab on to just the extension and rotate that. They also have served fair in place of my regular crowsfoot. Main problem there is that the throat on them is significantly deeper than conventional, so you run into sole clearance issues. I was hoping these would help me undo hydraulic hoses off valves, where hose fittings are normally bunched up next to each other. These did not work well for that task, or any others that i could find (pump/PTO mounting bolts). But, they may still be that one tool that will do the job someday on some job. again, they do work adverstised, but, they just don't work as well as I had hoped for what I needed.

Works well, quality made
Great for so many hard to reach places. Ratcheting function works great. Iโve used these so much more than I intended.
