great toy for ages 3-8
I bought the Pirates in the Tub for my 5 year old nephew and my 3 year old nephew separately and both boys could not wait to take a bath and play with the pirate set. I managed to show them how to set up the treasure chest, and they were excited that there were floating islands along with the wall stickers. I know they will have a ton of fun with this set, (which comes with three squirters as well) and I get to feel like the cool aunt who bought them this fun toy. If you have other tub stickers by Alex toys, keep in mind that these are a little thinner than the other sets, I wouldn't give this to ages under 3. (My 2-year old has the barnyard set, which she loves, but they are a little more solid and chewable than the pirates are) I imagine I will get this set for my daughter some day as it looks like a lot of fun. all of the little pieces fit into the mesh bag, so the parents did not get too upset with me that I gave their kids 38 little pieces of fun.

Too many parts!
For the record I have to say that my son likes this toy a lot and it does seem to build his imagination as he has to build the "set" and "act out" the scene. And I think with a couple of improvements - specifically a fewer pieces (there are just WAY too many pieces to deal with - my son doesn't know what to do with them all and it makes it a real pain to clean up) and more importantly replace the foam "ship" with a "real" (plastic) one that floats and can hold the inflatable pirates and cannon (and can then sail to the 'islands') - it would be a lot better toy. Without those improvements I wouldn't buy again and wouldn't recommend. Oh, and the foam pieces don't actually stick to the side of the tub very well and there are pieces, like 'waves' that don't seem to fit with any of the other pieces.

Great Choice Lots of fun. lots of peices to choose from keeps it interesting :D
My son has not ever had as much fun in the tub we do let him use them all but dedicate an extra towel he gets to dry them all off on quickly before we hang them and we keep the men/and squirt toys in our boon frog the net is for all the boat stuff :D it was alittle hard to put them away when we kept them together and some-days we are in a hurry and he just wants one raft and a cannon squirt so I just separated the most frequents into our other holder and it works perfectly. Great toys don't know about longevity he just got them at Christmas but wow the imagination really comes out after a few baths :D

Cute tub toy. lots of pieces
Lots of pieces so we sorted it out and set aside the smaller pieces. The squeeze toys fit on to a Play Town pirate ship. We don't put them in the tub since they collect water. The flat pirates are great tub toys and stick to the tub wall easily. We tossed the skeleton face. The ship puzzle is too many pieces for the 2 1/2 year old so we'll bring them out later. Mesh bag is a bonus.

My 3 year old loves this
My son will spend an hour or more in the bathtub playing with this toy. It's a hit! The foam pieces stick easily to the wall when wet, and he loves creating little scenes on the wall. The floating pieces are a little tricky for a 3 year old's fingers, but I don't have an issue assembling them. They aren't fancy - a little floating raft with slots for a pirate and and sail, two island scenes with slots for a pirate/treasure/whatever you want. Another commenter on here complained about the floating pieces falling apart too easily, but I didn't find that true at all. They hold up fine enough for bathtub play. Definitely recommended!

fun for kids
LOTS of pieces to this set--maybe too many, and some are a bit too complicated for littler kids (they can't figure out what the heck the ship's different parts are, the floating skull island is too hard to put together independently, etc). I also don't really understand why there are just a couple of rubber squirty toys because they don't really go with the foam toys--it's almost like two separate toy kits in one. Still cool though.

Arrgghh, this be a great tubby toy
My granddaughter, age 2.5, could not wait to take a bath. While she was waiting, she set the whole thing up on the living room floor. She had a whole little story going. There are a lot of pieces, as some have said, but this was a big plus for us. More pieces to make up stories about. And she loves putting things together. She's only had it a couple of weeks, but it looks to be well made. The little pirate characters are very cute and not flimsy. Her little brother, who is teething, loves to chew on them. This is a great toy and big hit.

Bathtime Fun Pirates of the Tub
I bought these fun tub toys for the grand kids when they visit and they love them. There are many pieces so they aren't fighting over them. The little people squirt water from their mouths which is another whole game for the kids. They are easy to store also in the net that is included in the box. I had to put the suction cups on the top of the tub edge rather than on the side because they would slide down the side. I got them wet first then stuck them to the top of the tub edge. It worked very well.

Super bath toy
Absolutely super bath toy! Boys love it and went shooting up the stairs for their bath this evening in order to play with it again! Lots of pieces to play with including 3 3D pieces which also work as squirters (2 pirates and 1 cannon) and lots of pieces to stick on the side of the bath to make pictures or to slot onto the floating pieces to play with - plenty to share without any arguments! The floating platforms (including a raft) really do float and can be different every play by slotting in a wide variety of different pieces including pirates, flags, parrot and a treasure chest, they also easily support the 3D pieces too. All that and a handy bag to stick on the side of the bath to put the pieces away in! I would highly recommend this and it would make a lovely gift too.

Rub a Dub Pirates
Does what it's supposed to: keeps the kids amused in the bath. They ran out of ideas on what to do with the foam pieces pretty quickly however and those bits don't get played with much any more. Good quality: the foam pieces are substantial, not flimsy and the squirty toys work well. The mesh tidy bag is a handy practical addition: I got the kids to pop all the foam pieces in it themselves at the end of bath-time and that turned into a game as well :-)

2 year old adores this
Both my girls, two and six, love this. Such a selection of shapes and toys to entertain them during bath time and the quality is impressive. The price was a steal. Very satisfied and recommend!

Great way to liven up bathtime!
The most original and interesting bath toy we've ever had! I love the way the pieces can be used to either float in the water or stick to the tiles above the bath; they stick well and there are plenty of different pieces in the set. Great!

Good toy, but...
It is a good toy for little boys/girls, but the peaces don't exactly stick on the wall as they are not 100% flat. They bend a lot in the tight bag & it can be little bit frustrating sticking them on the wallOtherwise great toy for imaginary game
