I was super happy!! I used to run Maxxis IT series tires. They did wear slowly but they also chunked knobies off quite often. When I went to Pirelli MX Extra X for the 2024 season I was stoked on the traction. We had the series start with super slop mud races, they were ripping! We raced mid soft to mid hard all series, I noticed that the uphill traction was incredible, pulling uphill hole shots perfectly. Nothing to complain about. I’m not an AMA pro, but I can’t afford to be changing worn tires out every other race. The pics are after the entire series, same tires!!! We won the Championship in 2024 on the same tires!! Look at the pics.. no BS, for real. Awesome!!

I bought these for my 2006 YZ450F. I was able to install them myself with the help of my dad, some WD-40 and two sets of tire irons. However I would not recommend it, it’s worth it to pay the $30 a tire to have cycle parts install them. Have had one trip to the track on them and the traction was excellent in the South Texas clay-dirt track mixture even with the track quite muddy after a heavy rain a couple of nights earlier. As long as I get decent life out of these tires and no flats out on rocky trails I will definitely purchase again and recommend to anyone.
