I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing the Pigeon Stainless Steel Idli Maker (4 Plate) from Amazon. The product I received was of very poor quality. The stainless steel feels thin and cheap, and it does not match the quality shown in the product description. To make matters worse, some of the accessories were missing from the package, making the product unusable. I immediately raised a replacement request, expecting Amazon to resolve the issue. However, instead of sending a replacement, the request was automatically cancelled without any proper explanation. I still have the old defective product at home, and I cannot use it because of the missing parts and poor build quality. I contacted customer care multiple times, but I have not received any proper response or solution. The issue remains unresolved, and I have been left with a defective product and no support. This is not the first time I have faced such an issue with Amazon. I have experienced similar problems on previous orders, which makes me feel that some returned or defective products are being sent to other customers instead of being properly inspected. This creates unnecessary inconvenience and wastes customers’ time. I expected better quality control and customer service from a company like Amazon, but this experience has been very frustrating. If you are planning to buy this product, I would recommend checking other sellers or platforms before purchasing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product or the way this issue has been handled.

I am very disappointed with this idli maker. Because I used it for the first time later on, I missed the return window and now I am stuck with a useless product. It has two major defects: Slanted plates: The main inside part is crooked. Because it sits at an angle, all the plates lean to the side. The idli batter slides right out and does not stay in place. Loose handles: The screws do not fit properly. Because they will not connect, the handles cannot be attached. The quality control is terrible. Do not buy this product, and if you do, check it immediately so you don't get stuck with it like I did.

Poor steel quality. The cooker is broken withing1-2 months.Poor

We have used other brands and needed a new one, so bought this. Used it first time and the noise was so high pitched throughout the cooking time. Even trying to open the cooker after the cooking was painful with the whole body getting hot and the lid not coming off easily. The idlis in the last tray was still uncooked even after all this.

It does not have a magnetic base. May not work with induction.

The product is not so great. While on fire, the plastic handles on it starts producing foul smell and it is very disgusting!

Bad quality material. The plates are not welded properly as they are rocking . When kept on the stand, plates having slop and batter won’t stay.

Last time they sent faulty one and now the idli maker lid is stuck and I am not able to open it. I injured my hand trying to open it . I want to say to the manufacturers please make easy packaging so we can easily assemble it.
