Great product
With this sander on the market there is about no need to buy the insanely priced name brands in the construction field. I have been a contractor for 35 years give or take and this was a game changer. I had avoided power drywall sanders due to price from day one but a dislocated shoulder and full room to sand made me rethink my stance. At under 80 dollars I figured I would buy a cheap one and if it died I would have more than paid for it in just time saved on that one job. Around two years later and with putting it through the kind of abuse only a clumsy contractor can manage it is still going strong. I plan on buying the pole version soon.

Pros and Cons
This is my first sander of this kind. I wanted to use this to remove some self made texturing I put on my walls years ago because we bought this 100 + old house and it was easy to cover the flaws this way. The problem was that the texturing was painted over which makes this type of sander less efficient. Some of the texturing I was going to cover with a wainscot anyway but just needed to knock down the texture and this worked GREAT for that! To get texturing down to nothing where it can be either automatically painted or lightly skim coated this sander will take FOREVER. My recommendations: If you don't have to worry about the dust buy yourself a Makita 2.5 lb. hand Disc Sander. It is super powerful but will make a huge mess so better for outdoors or new construction. You'll go through the discs but this baby will even cut into wood. I used it one summer to remove old paint off of 1800 SF of cedar wood siding. I have even used it to sand off the edges of real stone that we installed on our home. If your are inside though and have to worry about the dust, paint stripper on the texture first. Leave it on for just a few minutes and scrape the texture off with a 5-in-one or other scraper. Then wipe the surface down with a rag dipped in warm water. Let it dry just so there is no wetness. Then hit it up with this sander and it will finish the job. Do this in sections as the stripper weakness the paint and if it dries for a long period of time it will be harder to sand off.I especially love 2 things about this sander. #1 the chord is super long! I haven't had to hook another extension chord to it. #2 This type of sander that makes it different from a normal sander is that the sanding disc surface has the ability to move in and out over the surface being sanded. At first I hated this function. I wanted the sander to work like the Makita disc sander taking it all down to nothing but gathering the dust in the process. Since I discovered how well the stripper works, I like this function because it sands all of your surface at the same depth so you don't have hills and valleys going across your wall or wherever. Otherwise the sanding is dependent upon how much pressure you put on the wall in any given area. This eliminates that issue. I'm not saying anything will make your job super easy but this is what I have found to work best and the fastest.

Great customer service
I ordered this sander because it was hand held and compact. It is not at all like pictures. Has huge pole that doesn't come off. I used it as is because I had to get job done. Update company reached out and said Amazon sent the wrong product they offered a full refund excellent customer service.

Died in the middle of the first project
It worked great until it just stopped working. I got less than 10 hours of use out of it. I check the switch and the brushes and they are fine. I wouldn’t buy another one that’s for sure.

Life saver!
I was surprised at how good this sander worked! The amount of dust captured was amazing. There will be some dust release, so be prepared to block off the area. Ensure that you have good ventilation. I would say that 95% of the dust was captured by the bag. The sander made extremely quick work of the plaster as well!

Works too well
The sander works as advertised. It sands and the dust generated is limited. The problem is the sanding is too aggressive and it leaves sanding scratches. So after using this sander you still have to sand by hand which causes the dust I am trying to avoid.Maybe there is a technique to using this I have not learned yet.

Sands Great !
Suction is terrible, most of the dust stays around the sanding head. I just didn't turn it towards ground. I used it for my ceiling, I dumped dust in a bucket. It did a great job, suction not an issue. At least it doesn't get dust all over room. Great value !

Nice sander
I like this sander. It is almost dust free. The light went out after 6 months. The only way to reach customer service seems to be EMAIL. I requested a new light but the manufacturer sent me a new sander. I am happy with the outcome.
