Zippo Spiritual Lighters

This was a huge disappointment! While you can read God, Serenity, Courage and Wisdom, you really can't read the words in between...takes the whole point out of it. Both the lettering type and barely etching into the surface make it basically unreadable other than the 4 bigger words.While i am at it might as well mention that as mentioned before in reviews the quality of the lighter itself is slipping. Used to be made out of some solid metal not as much these days.That said the lighter i am sure will work fine...unfortunately for me since apparently they don't take returns (a good reason for not buying anything on Amazon that can't be returned - good reason for box stores!!!) i will chalk this up to a waste of money and a bad experience from what i thought should have been a trusted company.

Here's the Good. It looks great. The Cross and filigree is fairly deep, enough so that it could possibly snag your clothing if you wear a lot of nylon - not a problem for me. The case is real brass and has great color.The Not So Good. I'm old enough to have owned "Real Zippos". Those were lighters with heft, even the ones made out of pot metal had heft. Not anymore. Just holding this lighter tightly - not squeezing - the top will skew to one side. The metal case is unbelievably thin. But, at least its real metal and its under $20.VERDICT? Its not perfect. The metal is thin and the top feels like it could twist out of shape. But it looks great and the engraving/stamping is deep. I give it 4 stars and recommend this, especially for under $20.

I hadn't carried a zippo in almost 30 years. My usual carry lighters are dunhills and a few duponts. I wanted a Zippo and a fuel backup for when I run low on butane. I am very disapointed. This lighter is much lighter than I remember a Zippo lighter being. It's flimsey and the engraving has sharp edges. I can't believe an American company like Zippo is putting out such a poor product. I would not encourage anyone to buy this product.

Don't smoke anymore but have in pocket for a keepsake and reminder to stay sober. If you need help AA meetings are everywhere. Stay strong and get help if you need it. AA will help keep you sober. To my Brothers and Sisters, sober on.

I must say, this lighter was slightly better than expected. At first I was iffy about the black paint on it thinking, and almost certain, that it was just a little more than lightly going over it with some basic spray paint. But to my pleasant surprise, It's actually a rather thicker coating of paint covering the brass lighter itself (the cross is etched through the paint, exposing the bare brass metal it covers). I'm almost certain that it would take you intentionally pressing a nail to the surface of this Zippo and deliberately scratch through the paint to expose the metal itself. All in all I'm quite satisfied with the end product aesthetically. As for performance wise... It's a Zippo, you can't go wrong with a Zippo.

The picture doesn't do it justice. There are gold (brass?) highlights in each corner of the scrollwork. I have to hold it to the light just right but the font is very legible once the light's right. I will be buying anotherone when (not if) I lose this one. Definitely a giftable item for someone who likes Zippos. The matte finish doesn't show fingerprints as much as the polished chrome ones. This is a very welcome addition to my Zippo collection.

Beautiful! Better than expected. It is matte black with a very nice emblem on it. This is NOT a sticker or cheap little emblem but a solid nice colored one. Zippo has the best designs and sometimes they do look less than what I wanted but not this one. I would highly recommend this one for the price it is amazing.

This is a striking design. Subtle, beautifully judged and NOT a lazy stuck-on transfer, either, like SO many Zippo designs, but etched into the surface of the casing. A very reasonable price, too. Recommended.

Quality not what I’m used to from Zippo. Especially at this price. Been using Zippos for over 30 years now and this has to be the worsed quality one I’ve ever bought and probably the most expensive. But all said and done it works as expected
