Mystic Tan Sunless Self Tanner Airbrush Spray Tan with Bronzer - Island-Kyssed, 6 Ounces

Ok I don’t get all the negative reviews. First of all anyone who self tans knows that using a spray without a mitt is asking for trouble! It’s gonna be streaky and uneven, duh. This is my favorite self tanner looks natural and lasts a long time ( again WITH a mitt). I’ve used just about every self tanner there is and this one is my favorite.

Absolutely amazing! This is exactly like walking in to get a spray tan at a tanning salon. I have olive skin, so I got this color that is best for my skin tone. When I sprayed it on my face, the deep, dark color was instantaneous. It looked like I had been laying out in the sun in the Caribbean for a week. Super dark. Awesome. A+. This is so worth the cost. I use it mostly on my face and neck & chest area to prevent any further sun damage. I can keep those parts out of the Sun if I go out into the Sun or if I go to a tanning bed. The mist comes out as a super fine mist. I HIGHLY recommended this!(I recommend getting these 5 fingered exfoliating gloves (they usually come in different colors) at the drugstore and using them before you spray tan yourself to give a smoother coverage.)

I didn’t know what to do when they stopped production of VS bronzer; this is one of many I tried to use to replace it; doesn’t come off on my clothes, furniture or even in the pool, hot water soap and a loofa and a medium scrubbing takes it off. No orange fake looking tan just a nice bronzer for my legs until my natural tan comes through; I use this also on my face w no oily residue. I love this product. Ladies make sure you fully shave and get the dead skin off your body prior to use. Personally I use sugar cubes by Harper and Ani if you have a hard time getting dry skin off, let skin fully dry ideally pat your skin dry with a towel we approximately 30 minutes, during this time you’re gonna want to apply a light moisturizer such as hempz lotion; do not spray directly on joints ie knees and elbows and if you have a makeup pad use it to even the spray! Thank goodness I found this especially at a time when I can’t just go to a tanning bed bc of the outbreak! Amazing product!

I've never received a professional Mystic Tan so I don't know what that looks like, but the color of the self tanner is appreciably more natural than other drug store brand self tanners spray or otherwise. What I actually don't like at all is the bronzer tint that rubs off all over everything. It rubs off and looks like dark potting soil stains on fabric. For this reason, I don't think it's as easy as a non-tinted spray like Neutrogena. That is the only fake tanner I have used for years, but I will buy a couple more dark sundresses to wear for the 5-8 hours you're supposed to wait before getting wet for the summer. The final color produced is a beautifully natural one I haven't seen before. I don't know if the professional application is appreciably different from at home, (minus experience, obviously), but the color alone makes Mystic Tan live up to all the hype for me and worth the effort to learn how to apply it well.

I was in love with the old Mystic tan spray before it was discontinued. This one has the same wonderful color but it’s not the ultra fine mist that the original one was. That being said, you have to be very careful when spraying, especially your face. However, it does make you look like you’ve been on vacation! I love it!

I love this for the following reasons-- the color is not orange but a natural sun kissed- there is something in the product that makes my skin glow. I’ve had people tell me I look refreshed, rested.- no funky smell- easy to use and wash off if you sprayed too much onYep the makers of Mystic Tan deserve the Congressional Medal of Honor.

I think this was either an old can or had been used before because the nozzle had product on it as if it had been sprayed, which caused the spray to be gunky and impossible to achieve an even spray. The color was not orange, which was great, but was black, which was not. My skin looked dirty instead of tanned. I did find that it worked on my face, if I hold the can as far over my head as possible and do a very quick spritz. Somehow that works, but on my arms and legs it looks like I’ve been on a cross country run on a dirt road and haven’t taken a shower.

I have used SO many self tanners it’s insane. From high end to low end and everything in the middle. This is the only one that looks natural 100% of the time. I use a mitt and a small makeup brush for face, hands and feet. Smell is fine. You will NOT be orange but more of a vacation tan. I am pretty pale with beige pink undertones. I am usually right next to fair/ivory in foundation so I’m pretty pale. This looks the most natural on me. It also fades nicely. Not flakey and weird at all in spots. I would say it lasts about 3/4 days on me showering everyday. But none of them last on my skin. But the violet spray can is the greatest thing ever. I swearrrrr by this to everyone. I can’t say enough good. So happy I found it.
