base is very sturdy and didn't flex under foot (that was before the mortar). Size was precise and the install directions clear and concise. Would purchase again.

Solid - great looking - durable
I installed this 5 years ago and it still looks as good as the day it was installed. This is the sturdiest shower pan I have ever encountered. Heavy thick fiberglass - quality high-gloss finish in brilliant white that has neither dulled nor scratched in 5 years. But it is fiberglass not steel - so you do have to take care of it and use only gentle cleaning products to ensure a long life for the finish - and do wash it regularly so you will not be tempted to use harsh chemicals to clean off build-up that results from infrequent cleaning. I don't think you could beat this pan for the money - and even if you spent more, I don't think you could find a better pan - at least from what I have seen out there.

Good base for tile walls.
I laid tar paper and mortar under this base when i installed it and next day it feels like a cement floor. It comes with a clear plastic covering that protects it while you work. You can then remove the covering and it is undamaged. If your doing tile walls the cement board can lay right over the lip of the pan. I would buy it again!
