I was looking for a hair curler to be able save myself some money and reduce the amount I have been spending at the hairdressers. So when the Haglater 25mm Curling Iron came up to review, I had to try it out and I’m so very glad that I did.This curling rod features a ceramic barrel for smooth, even curls, the adjustable settings range from 80°C to 230°C, which is perfect for different hair types and styles. The 25mm barrel is ideal for creating natural, medium sized curls. It heats up quickly with the ceramic coating which helps reduce heat damage. Overall, it's user-friendly and delivers consistent results and I would highly recommend.

First of all, let me start off by saying it curled my hair and did the job. Is it the best curling iron in the world? No. But for £20 it works well and for the price, you can’t really complain. It comes with a heat proof glove which was a nice addition given the price. You can adjust its temperature depending on your hair type and it heats up quickly, making it practical to easily style your hair in the morning. The 25mm barrel produces an effortless curl that is tight enough to not drop within 10 minutes but loose enough to not look pretentious. The curler itself does feel slightly cheap and lighter than other hair tools but this doesn't take away from its function. After curling each strand of my hair, I did find that the barrel had smoke coming off of it for about 30 seconds afterwards which was slightly alarming but after the first time of use this didn't occur again, so I believe it was just dust burning off. It has an automatic turn off after an hour which is so important, I'm very diligent at turning off any kind of heated equipment but it does give an additional peace of mind as it is incredibly easy to leave the house in a frenzy.If you’re looking for a cheap and easy curler then I would recommend these as they are functional. Personally, I am a big fan of the 25mm barrel as it can be dressed up to look more glamorous or brushed out if you’re opting for a more causal look.

I am an ex hairdresser and I've always used tongs that reach 230°. I have long naturally soft curly hair and I usually clip it up with some teased out and curled around my face.. however, I've used these a few times and they give a long lasting curl but I now have two stumpy 2" clumps where my soft curls used to be.. I think they must be running very hot but I've no way to test the temp atm..
