SunSun JUP-23 13W UV Sterilizer Submersible Pump

This product is amazing..Was fed up with cloudy water caused by bacterial bloom and algae. Got rid of that in just 36 hours. Remember to keep the flow regulator at minimum, as the water needs longer exposure to UV, if possible do not use this to shoot bubbles or as air stone, as it reduces the efficiency. Use this continuously for 3 days and turn it off. And keep the lights off as much as possible, because UV works best when there's no other light pass through the tank. Do a 30% water change before using the sterlizer. Hope this helps.:)

First of all, this is a huge device, about 15 inches long and heavy too. I have kept it running in one of my dirty green algae filled aquariums since 4 hours. Till now there has been no change in the quality or colour of water. The algae is still present as it was earlier. I will keep it running for 1 or 2 days 24/7 and then update my review here. I feel its not 100% safe to use UV sterilizer in aquariums, as many people report that their fishes die after using it. This might be because, the UV light kills all the bad and good bacteria along with algae. Fish cannot survive without good bacteria. NEVER use UV sterilizer more than needed. If you don't have a dirty aquarium filled with algae, you dont have to use this filter. This is not risk free.To be updated soon.Update #1 : 09/04/2017----------------------------------This takes time to clear algae. To clean one of my 30 liter aquariums, it took more than 2 days. Currently using this sterilizer in a 60 liter tank. Will update later. If you have aquariums smaller than 60 liters, do not buy this, as the device is huge and will not fit inside small tanks.Update #2 : 14/04/2017---------------------------------This filter took nearly a week to clear algae from my 75 liter aquarium. I expected it to be faster, but anyways it does the job even though slow. Go for this filter if your aquarium water looks green or cloudy all the time. You will be happy with the results. But remember this filter does not do physical dirt removal. The only purpose of this filter is to kill germs, algae, pathogens, bacteria etc which are flaoting in the water. In addition to this UV sterilizer you have to use a good filter to remove dirt from your tank. This filter only has a UV light and a pump inside. Nothing else.

Firstly, Thanks for the wonderful product.I have a 600 Litres (158 US gallon) Planted aquarium and I am running this since last 6 months. I was really fed up of the bacterial bloom in the tank which kept changing the water color to GREEN but this product has cleared up my water better than never before.The water is crystal clear now. I've had used lots n lots of medicines to cure this but never had any positive results.Anyone who has got similar issue can try this once.

I have already been using JUP 23 UV filter since a long time. I ordered one more for my new tank, UV light housing tube is broken when delivered. Luckily bulb and motor is in good shape. If it's broken, water will enter the bulb are and will short the entire pump and light circuits.This model is an efficient one. Really good. But when it comes to delivery, there's some major problem.

Brilliant product. Polishes the water totally in a couple of days. A must have for heavily populated aquarium or planted one.

Usually my water looks littly coudy with floting algae due to led lights installed. I put this in my tank which had my 6000Rs worth FlowerHorn Who has stayed with me for morethan 3 years & guess what in like less than 2 days my water became cristal clear.but on the 8th day after installation my flowerhorn died.he was helthy active flowerhorn with good feeding intake.i am not sure whether its prob with this pump or something else.Altogether, the pump delevired what it promised, made the water in tank crystal clear.

I am using this product for last 4 days. Not showing substantial result. Still under review. There is no operating instruction in the product. Do not know how to clean it. Very limited information.

Had a problem of marine ich and lost a couple of fish. The UV sterilizer cleared my water with any treatment. Product is real value for money and the best soln to ich.
