Received this tester today. This tester is a state-of-the-art tester. It tests voltage in a live wire or in AC mains wall socket, 1) But what is more important feature in this tester is, it tests the continuity of current in a wire and shows exactly where the wire is cut inside the insulation. Just slide the tester along the outside of the wire carrying current and when the exact point where the wire is disconnected , its current indication symbol goes off, showing exactly where the wire is faulty. 2) By touching the above buttons while testing for a voltage, it shows how much voltage is in the line. Though it shows an approximate voltage, say exact mains voltage is 240V , this tester shows up to 220V which gives an idea that the voltage is full in the mains. 3) This tester's another great feature is, it shows whether your earthing is working or not, by using the inductance button. Since inductance testing works on very minute current and some of its current is also used for digital display, that is why the digital display is very small. The only drawback on the company pack is, the bar code sticker was pasted right above the user manual guide and when i tried to remove it, the back side manual got torn, So i had to refer youtube videos to see how to use it.

This device works great and helpful for home use. Everyone must have in their home because: 1. It can be used to check electronic devices, plugs, wires, switches for electric voltage digitally. 2. It shows the reading in the small LCD as 12v, 36v, 55v, 110v, 220v. 3. This device also capable of testing and finding the faults in wires, you just need to switch on the plug of the cable then move the device tip over the cable to find the fault i.e. location of the wire where it is damaged and stopping the flow of electricity. LCD Screen will show the electricity symbol till it finds the flow of electricity. This is called continuity test. One drawback it also there in this device that it does not have backlight in LCD to work in dark that's why rated 1 star less rest all great at price. Another thing I would like to mention is that it do not display upto 250v as mention on the device but maybe capable of testing upto 250v.
