Has anyone ever used these for outdoor use? How do they hold up?

They seem that they work fine. Yiu will just different srews then the ones they provide .

How far apart are the screw holes?

The holes are 3/4 inch on center of holes.

How much of the 0.7" screw that comes with this goes into the wood? I'm working with 7/16" thick wood and i don't want the screws to go through.

Good question! I did run into a problem (not with these exact hooks) last year and the screws were slightly too long. I ended up using my Dremel tool to cut off the tip on the back once the screws were screwed in. Took 5 minutes and it was fixed.
