Not as thick as some, but still looked nice.
I've previously redone several pieces with chalk paint, using a very high end -- and very expensive -- brand. I thought this might be perfect for just a little project and I was almost right. The coverage on this is thinner, so I needed more coats than I normally would, making this even less paint that I initially thought. And more work. The texture did turn out chalky, but I would stick with a thicker, more gloppy paint on future projects. That being said, I liked the color and the overall project was very nice, so this might work well if you're not painting something dark.

Not the greatest paint
I needed a small amount of chalkboard paint for a craft project I was doing. I thought this would be perfect, but I had a couple of issues. First, there is chalk in the name, but I think it really describes the chalk-like matte texture and not chalkboard paint. Second, for ultra matte paint, this was a lot thinner than I expected. I had to use several coats to cover my area when I really thought it would take only two. Because I had to use so many coats to fill in the area, I ran out of paint. Boo!

Lack of coverage.
No coverage. I stopped trying after three coats on sample area.A shame. The color was beautiful.

Perfect Size
The Charming Chalk All-In-One Furniture & Décor Paint - 8oz Sheepskin Cream, Ultra Matte Chalk Finish Paint, Ideal For All Techniques Including Distressing, No Prep Needed, Made In USA is the perfect size. I love using chalk paint for all types of projects. It's so easy to use and the clean up after is fast and easy as well. There is virtually no prep work, just wipe down your surfaces with a damp cloth to remove any dust and you're ready to paint. If you're going to do multiple coats you'll have to sand and wipe down in between coats. And I love the color, Sheepskin. It's such a beautiful, creamy, almost linen color. If you're looking for fun way to repurpose some tired furniture, chalk paint is the way to go.

Dries quickly
I ordered this paint to redo a dresser, but changed my mind after seeing the color in person. I ended up using it to repaint a wooden jewelry box and it covered nicely, plus it dried quickly. It was easy to use and I was able to apply it smoothly. Overall, it works well and the quality is good.

Great product addressing negative reviews
The Charming Chalk All-In-One Furniture & Décor Paint - 8oz Sheepskin Cream, Ultra Matte Chalk Finish Paint, Ideal For All Techniques Including Distressing, No Prep Needed, Made In USA - is just as advertised.I want to first start out that I read all the reviews and I do not agree with the negative reviews. I have been using chalk paint for many years and I have painted over 100 items; tables, vases, picture frames and chairs. This is great quality chalk paint. The most recent brand I have used for chalk paint is Folkart that I purchased on Amazon. It is a great quality product. I always have on hand the color sheepskin, which is available both in this brand and also in Folkart.I want to touch on two main points of the negative reviews. One said it was watery which is not true. You do need to stir it. I use a popsicle stick or a stick used for waxing. It is a little thinner than Folkart, but it is still a thick chalk paint.Another reviewer mentioned multiple coats of paint are needed and that it still didn't cover. They don't mention the original color of the object they were painting. One thing I will tell you with ANY chalk paint that's light colored that if you are painting for example, using sheepskin which is a ivory with a yellow undertone or a vanilla color, if the object you're painting is not white or has a shiny finish then you will need to use a primer and that is for any chalk paint. Otherwise you will be using a lot of chalk paint and multiple coats. I use a 4 inch roller, a quality brush to paint or foam paint brushes that I purchase on Amazon that has a pack of variety of sizes - that works great on vases and small objects. One of the reviewers showed the cap of the product which is not how it dries and another mentioned it looks like a nicotine stain - which also is not correct. It is a beautiful color and I am attaching photos of both folk art and this product to show you that there's not much difference, although if you zoom in on the picture you can see the Folkart started to separate and this chalk paint did not. Although when you do two coats it won't be noticeable. I've painted many things with Folkart and sheepskin is a beautiful color, especially if you like the farmhouse look because it goes especially well with brown, sage green, black, charcoal gray, blue and white decor.I actually love this color sheepskin better than the Folkart because it has a little more yellow to it. It mentions to sand in between but you don't need to as long as the surface is even that you are painting.Overall a great chalk paint that I would purchase in the future.

for small projects
This 8 oz chalk paint is probably best for small projects. It is a small container, and it did take several coats to cover my wood project. It is nice because little prep work is needed. The final project does not feel like a chalk board, a bit more smooth. You need to stir this, not shake, physically stir this product as it does separate in the jar over time. Takes 24 hours to dry, which is normal
