Great 2 player head to head card game
Forget the pasted on theme, the gorgeous art work and stellar production. This is a one on one card game in which you play and then discard tricks with the goal of going out of cards before your opponent. It is an ingenious game with lots of tension and replayability..

Trick taking game, check. Early Chinese historical theme, check. Two player game, check. This game should be a home run for me. However, it is just a bit more clunky than it should be. The rules are not complicated but are clunky enough that it kinda slows things down. Diamonds is the standard for us in trick taking. I love this theme better. The art is great. The components are great. I love the little travel card version you get to. However, it tries to be a bit more clever than for its own good. Just a bit wonky and not as fun as I was hoping.
