I know good headphones when I see them. These are very good. But not great.
Here is the pair of headphones I've gotten used to using over the past year or two: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-Headphone/dp/B000AJIF4EI make and produce music, so I've had very extensive use with those biggies up there for over a year. At least an hour or two every day, genreally more. Needless to say I've gotten used to them, and they've become my standard. Those have a very even and realistic sound, so they're trusted by a lot of studio professionals to mix music. But I wanted something aimed at gaming, and I also wanted a headset closer to what regular people use, so I got these. (I got them used for $20 from 5-star gaming.)The very fist thing I noticed was how comfortable these are. I have decently big ears, so not all headphones feel good on me, but I could wear these all day. It's not quite on the level of comfortableness as my studio headphones, but these are very soft and comfy. It's also very adjustable in size, and the ears can retract into the headphones to make it smaller. Great for making it portable. They're also very light. As for the sound quality, it's not half as good as the studio headphones I've gotten used to, which is to be expected. All in all, these are fine headphones. My one major complaint, though, is that the bass tends to muddy everything up, even on its lowest setting. I listened to one of my own songs, and where there was supposed to be a low buzz sound, it was a very muddy, smooth low sound that you could barely recognize. Other headphone's I've used did not do this to my song. The bass response is technically very nice, but I wish you could set it even lower than its lowest setting. I do not feel that most people will even notice this, but it did annoy me. Nonetheless, these do sound good and I do use these for everyday listening amidst its issue with its bass end. (I think most headphones in this price range will have this issue, though, so it's not really a huge deal.)Anyway, that's not really the reason you'd buy this or not, though. It's that it will work on the PC, Xbox and PS3. I am a PC gamer, but I do follow a few online games on the Xbox, so it's nice to be able to do that too. Plus, the fact that you can put the microphone on either side, or not use it at all, is very nice. These can double as regular headsets to listen to while I'm out and about.Setting it up was a bit tricky, though. It's not as simple as plug-'n-play. If I didn't have the manual, I'd still probably be trying to set them up. But lucky for me there was a manual, so it's all good.Overall, for what I paid ($20), I have no complaints. If I had to pay $50, I'd still be okay with it. These are worth $50. But hey, save money where you can, amirite?I intend to update this review eventually as I use them a bit more, and I might make a video showing them off.

Great Pair of Headphones
I've been known to have problems with headphones for years, more so with Gaming Headphones. I used a wired Red Samurai before, which I loved, and about two-three months after I got them, the wire that connected to the left ear was pulled slightly out causing the Mic not to work correctly, a week after that, I couldn't even use the headphones to listen to the tv. I asked a friend of mine what type of headphones I should consider getting and he recommended these.I give it four out of five stars. It came with a perfect instruction manual (I tend to not be savvy with connecting things together, so this was a huge plus.) It also comes with separate cables. This was my main reason for buying this. I travel from home to home. The reason my Red Samurais broke was because I'd have to twist the wires to get them into a bag. These seem like they are made to travel. Every wire detaches. Both sound and mic quality were very good. The Mic can go on either side of the headphones. (I usually keep it on the right) It's compatible for the PC (computer), Xbox 360, Ps3, and other devices like a tablet and iPod. Four Stars.I happened to take one star off because the wire that connects to the controller easily comes out, causing you to be unable to be heard by your friends. It's not a reason to not buy the product by all means, just keep an eye on it. And I suppose I was spoiled by my Red Samurai since there I could control the chat volume and the game volume with two separate twists. The Rocketfish gives you one twist with the option of going all the way to the chat or all the way to the game, which causes you to sacrifice one volume for the other. However, it gives you a Bass twist instead. (If that's your thing, I'm not sure why it's there. I would much rather prefer to have to separate twist for volume and chat) Again, not a reason to not buy the product. These as just vanity issues.)Technically I would give this product a 4 stars and a half star, but that's not allowed here.Another plus I would like to point out is that this is not nearly as expensive as a wireless headset. Which is what I had my heart set on until my friend told me about these. All and all, I would recommend this product to anyone who's looking for cheap(ish) headphones that should (hopefully) last you quite a while.

okay headphones...
These headphones are good for the $52 price. This is just my experience with these! Electronics are hit and miss.Maybe these work and are amazing for someone else; every products' quality varies.Cons: you have to press your mouth right up onto the mic for other players to hear your voicethe sound is not surround sound as stated via items description on Amazon or on Rocketfish's website.the sound isn't that high on video games(call of duty) I have it raised to it's highest and its still not enough to my liking(maybe to others')Pros: great feel and overall textural appearance.very comfortable; they don't hurt after wearing for more than three hoursgreat to listen to music on perfect sound
