Automatic Cat Feeder, CSF-3 Super Feeder, Stand/Bowl, Analog Timer

Seriously, this feeder has changed my life. Kitties now get fed at 5 am and I get my rest AND my bedroom door does not get scratched to hell. I've purchased other feeders in the past and my smartypants cats had zero problems getting them open in about 30 seconds (they were both rather innovative, in my opinion). I've had this feeder for three months now and they absolutely cannot get into it. It is impossible. The company that makes this product has actually paid attention to cats and cat owners and created the perfect product. It was a little bit of an effort to put it together and took awhile to tweak it to get the right amount to come out., but overall that was minor in comparison to what I gained.The only bad thing I would say is the analog timer is absolutely worthless if you need the timer to be exact. Go with the digital. No question. I tossed the analog after a couple weeks and switched to a digital I bought online.Also, my kitties aren't good sharers. So if one got to the feeder first, the other didn't push his way in. That was to kind of expected. I had hoped that when they were hungry, this wouldn't be the case. Alas... I figured it was not worth my time to rig a contraption to get them both fed, so I bought another feeder. Problem solved.Even though this feeder is rather expensive, it is worth every penny.UPDATE: One of my cats has finally figured out how to beat the system. He bangs into it and it drops down kibble - one piece at a time. But he does it all.the.time. Drives me insane. Another reviewer - Julie L - has a video showing exactly what my cat does to get the food out. Right now I have the feeder taped to a large plastic storage bin lid, but I need to find an alternative. Still overall the feeders work great. But yeah, not 100% cat proof (however, it did take him almost a year and a half to figure out how to get kibble out of it...).

I bought this a year ago for my 2 cats who were waking me up in the wee hours of the morning to be fed! I also thought it would be good for them if we went away on short trips. My first concern was that I was feeding them Nutro cat food which is an odd shaped food. If you read the directions, this works best with kibbles that are uniform in shape. It took me about 2 hours to put it together (watching the video is a huge help!) and get it adjusted to feed them the correct amount of food. I did "play" with the adjustments for the first two weeks or so just to make sure they were getting a consistent amount of food each time. I bought the feeder with the 2 plastic extensions. They both cracked and broke BUT the company replaced them both (for free and almost a year later!) with new ones that are made of a different type of plastic....much thicker and stronger and after that - no problems at all! The feeder holds 3 days of food for my 2 cats at the suggested rate of 1 cup per day. I bought the chute guard as well so my cats couldn't dig the food out from the shoot. No probelms there. HOWEVER...my female cat has learned that if she grabs the back of the feeder with both paws and rocks it forward, that when she lets go - it slams back on the floor and dispenses some food...usually only a few kibbles but sometimes she gets a bit more than that. we find it comical and it really doesn't change the amount of food they seem to go through in 3 days. She just is able to get a little snack when she wants. The male cat watches but he apparently doesn't have a clue or doesn't want to be bothered with it. So my next challenge came when I decided to change their food. They are still on Nutro but I am mixing 2 foods - the weight management and the weight loss. The weight loss food is quite a bit smaller in size so I though for sure they were going to be getting more food and going through it quicker than the 3 days, but that has not been the case. It is still lasting 3 days before having to refill it. I no longer get woken up in the mornings for "breakfast" and we can go away for 3 days and I don't have to have someone coming in to feed them. I totally think that this is worth the price! I have had no problems at all with my timer, even when there was a power outage. Everything has worked great for over a year now!

This is hands down the best cat feeder! We purchased in 2013 and have moved twice since then. It has been dispensing 3-6 times every day for 11 years and has performed wonderfully! Unfortunately, it finally died this week. But for the amount of use, I’d say it’s well worth the money! I love that it does an excellent job accurately dispensing small amounts of tiny cat kibble. Setting can take some trial and error but once that’s figured out, you’re golden.
