Kilner - 25.805 Signature CT Glass Jar, 750ml/13cm,Transparent

When you are looking to furnish kitchen storage with glass jars, kilner may first seem like a luxurious option, but once you buy it you know why you paid extra. The jar is heavy with thick glass walls, the metal clasp is of first grade quality and is super tight to ensure airtight closure. When someone like me anti-plastic was looking for durable yet elegant jars, my search ended in Kilner. I have tried yera and ocean pop ,as well as bormiolli rocco and pasabahce, I am blown by what Kilner has to offer. If Kilner pinches your pocket, bormiolli and pasabahce may be your second best go to options. They equally serve the purpose and are stylish too.

Great quality jar that I bought for my sourdough starter (the rubber gasket is removable). The only problem, as someone else also pointed out, is that the base is not fully flat. So, it wobbles a bit. Not so much that it will actually topple over, but enough that it is bothersome. Isn't really something you would expect in a jar this expensive.

Solid feel with the heavy glass.. However, this is NOT watertight/airtight - water drips out when you invert it even when tightly closed. Bottom slightly curved so the jar rocks a bit but not enough to make it unstable.

Needed jars for storing nuts for regular eating. These are perfect. Looks gorgeous, slim profile, very heavy though, more weighty compared to a regular jar. Considering I won't be lifting it regularly but just opening the metal wire mechanism for the lid it's ok for me. Perfect size and design for 250 grams of nuts showcasing the nuts beautifully. I'm buying few more for other nuts I need to store. I'm definitely a fan of Kilner jars and bottles, this is the latest of a few designs I have bought. Spells quality and built to last all the way through.

The Kilner brand is well known for glass items, but their products sold in India by amazon are the "second grade" quality which generally rejected in factory during the quality control process and sold in 3rd world countries. The tag on the product claims "made in china". As other reviewers have mentioned, their bases are wobbly and have some imperfections in the glass moulding. Not justified by their high price!

I used it for pickling some lemons... the rubber in the jar makes sure that the jar is airtight and is of good quality...the metallic clips are also good quality..not eroding / fading or any thing.

These are amazing bottles and I like the design very much.I've ordered Kilner jars and bottles about 9 times via Amazon. Almost all the bottles wobble when placed on a flat surface. Even free glass bottles that come with jams and ketchups do not ever wobble. This is surprising given the fact that Kilner is such an old brand.These arrived in a very thin layer of bubble wrap and in plastic envelopes. My first order of 03 jars was broken in transit and my second order arrived with a chip on the lid of one of the jars.We are truly fortunate to get original brands (factory2nds) at such amazing prices and handled/shipped so meticulously/flawlessly. Bought these for my sourdough starter. Do the job beautifully - and they look nice even if the sourdough starter itself isn’t exactly a thing of beauty. As they’re transparent I can see what’s going on, and the lid can be loosely closed without the rubber seal, allowing in enough air for the wild yeasts to get going.

This jar is really pretty and holds quite a lot. I’ve shown it with a pot of bicarbonate of soda to give an idea of size.

Received my order on 18/07/2020 - The first jar appeared to have a curved non-full-depth stress fracture that rose from the base about 1/3rd the height of the jar. For this reason, I went to the order section and was pleased to find an option to have it replaced at no extra charge, and without needing to send it back.I received the second jar on 19/07/2020 - The second jar was perfectly fine, free of manufacturing defects, and delivered just a day after the first. The jar itself seems to be of fine quality, with a stout rubber seal, well-manufactured metal rings and clasps, and a nice authoritive seal. Upon receipt the interior of the jar smelled of chemicals, presumably from manufacture, but the glass was all perfectly clear.Upon a quick wash with bleach, the chemical smell was completely gone, and the jar was ready to receive goods.In my case, a sourdough starter.Good service, good product, and a willingness to stand behind and replace faulty goods. I don't think I could ask for much more from a manufacturer or a distributor.4/5, would (and have) bought again.((Purchased a 1.5L jar from same company due to positive qualities of products.))

This is a perfect container for my sourdough bread starter. It has the classic genuine Kilner closure clasp that makes an airtight excellent seal. It’s a little taller than my fridge shelves allow so it has to be stored on the door bottle holders. Pleased with my purchase.

This is an excellent jar with air tight seal. The glass feels chunky and substantial and so far as we can tell, the rust proof seal clips make the jar entirely airtight. Very happy with this jar which we use for sourdough starter - it looks and feels like a quality item and does the job well.
