Good News Bible-TEV (Compact Bible)

Great Bible to have, it reads like a book. I can really understand the Bible now!!! Nice hard cover, good size print, and it is just a positive outlook on life back then and now. It tells you plainly what the Bible says, KJV! Perfect for people who really wants to know what God requires of us!

This GNT is so fitting for my own preferences. I wanted a Bible that was compact and thick that I could carry everywhere. The writing is small which is fine for me but may not be fine for others. My Bible came with no scratches, folds, or tears.

This is really cool. I like that it's compact making it easy to carry. I have the large print version which is great, especially if you have poor vision. However, this portable version works for me. I know that some reviewers complain about the small print and that will definitely be a problem for them with this copy. I'm 69 and my vision has diminished to some degree but my reading glasses (drugstore magnifiers) do well. It also helps to keep your lenses clean and have adequate lighting where you're sitting. One final point about the Bible that I don't remember reading about in its features. It contains the Apocrypha which I've been looking into for personal growth. That's a feature that the large print does not contain. Both editions are available. Do not purchase this if small print is a problem for you because the print is smaller than small.

This is a great translation in modern English. It is unfair to call it a paraphrase, the verses that people point to being inconsistent are actually as consistent as the KJV, the people who complain just struggle with the wording of the concepts being used. The only issue is the inconsistent margins, they can vary by a few millimeters either direction and stick on tabs are difficult to fit.

Good Bible for action but I didn’t realize it was the compact version and I can’t really see the words. I’ll have to donate it to someone with great eyes or bifocal's.

My Mother started me on using "Good News" Bible many years ago. I like the "Good News" due to the language is simplified like everyday language . Being in everyday .. and simplier .. language .. it helps people understand the Bible better .. and will also promote someone to read more often when it is easier to read and easier understood.

the print in these bibles is incredibly small. It is unreadable even with strong reading glasses. I'd like to return them but they are on the same form as the GNT FOR MODERN MAN ( WHICH I WANT TO KEEP) I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT. THEY WERE MEANT TO BE GIFTS AND NOW ----------so disappointed.
