I was a bit confused while buying Microphone for my online teaching purpose. Based on the various microphone reviews of youtubers, finally decided to go with BOYA. Saw a very good rating on Amazon too about BOYA mics. But another level of difficulty arises when I saw three different models of BOYA mics which were almost identical in presence. These were: - BOYA M1 - PRO - BOYA M1 and - BOYA M1 -1 BOYA M1-PRO is a STEP Ahead than Boya M1 and BOYA M1-1. The features what I observed till now, is going to mention in the form of PROS and CONS of this product. So, that it can help other buyers who are really looking for a great microphone for blogging, online teaching, and other live communication purposes. PROS of BOYA M1-PRO: --> Headphone Jack --> Headphone Jack monitoring the audio while recording --> Two Noise Cancellation Switch --> 6 Meter Cable --> DSLR camera, Camcorders, Audio recorders 4 Pole Gold Plug --> Separate Battery Connectivity port for DSLR --> One Year BOYA Warranty --> Crisp Recorded Sound Quality --> Supurb Built Quality --> Genuine Original BOYA Product CONS of BOYA M1-PRO: --> Should have little better Wire Quality --> Background noise doesn't get cancelled automatically, despite what many reviews say --> CHINA Made, which I do not prefer as an Indian As a summary, I can say that, the additional headphone jack is it's added advantage. Which gives an edge for one is to one or one is to many, live online two-way conversation. One more thing I would like to mention specifically which company missed to advertise is, it's headphone connectivity feature. This feature I have seen rarely with any commercial microphone. I tried to mention some detailed photographs too, to understand the difference between BOYA M1-Pro and other BOYA mics. Hope it may help other buyers positively while taking appropriate decision. In my opinion, despite it looks costly, a user must choose BOYA M1-PRO only over al other microphones because it can be a one time investment and can serve all the purpose of recording in any mode.

Recording quality is better than smartphone. But the crystal clear audio can be recorded only in a quite place. This mic is really durable but you can feel difficulty while attaching the mic cushion and collar pin.

If you are facing noise when you are using this with the convertor please read this comment completely. I have given a solution. I am giving this review after getting the replacement for the defective product I received before. The new / replaced Boya BY-M1 Pro is rocking in performance. But wait, I actually wanted to use this Collar / Lavalier microphone to connect to my audio mixer using the 6.5mm convertor given. Initially I was facing few issues and after lots of research I found that the adapter they give freely with this mic is not correctly serving it’s purpose it is actually TRS/TS 3.5mm to TS 6.5mm convertor not the TRRS 3.5mm to TS 6.5mm jack. So the connection is not going through. If you read my problem statement you will realise why it is not working for many people or it is so noisy because of wrong mic signal and common signal. The output of this mic is via TRRS male connector and is not as per the standard TRRS given below, * T the Tip is for used headphone Left * R the Ring next after the tip is for the headphone right * R the Ring next inside is for the ground shared for headphones and microphone commonly. * S the Shield which is outermost is for the microphone. The actual output is of this mic comes in the T the tip + R inner ring for mic left and right and Outer Ring which is obviously mic common out. The outermost S shield / Sleeve is used to power the mic when used in passive mode. The converter they give with this box is picking up the mic signal from tip (T) and common signal is wrongly picked up from the outermost Shield/Sleeve which is used to supply power to the mic (during passive mode) Solution: Please note: This solution is only for using this lavalier mic for mixer/amplifier with active mode (battery powered in the compartment) So what we need is to take the output from shield S and the outer Ring R for the mixer which is wrongly done by the converter. Simplest solution is to this problem is buying the Y convertor given below. Connect the female connector in this Y cable to the output of the BOYA BY-M1 Pro microphone TRRS cable. But please keep in mind the among the two output wire, we should use headphone jack (strictly not mic jack) in the y splitter to get the output. Now the headphone out from the Y cable connector should be connected to the 3.5 mm to 6.5 mm convertor to get the mic output to the mixer/amplifier etc., during the active mode (mic will operate in battery power). Now it is outstanding in performance. I have posted the pictures to correct this issue and the Y connector used for this. But, if BOYA thinks to provide a proper convertor, this will be a all rounder mic for mobile phone, camera and mixer.

6 meter cable and noise cancellation switch and headphone jack is a great additional feature. It does what it claims. The recorded sound quality is great, works on laptop, smartphone in the smartphone mode (switch on off/smartphone mode). It only consumes the battery power when connected to dslr camera ( need to move the switch to on mode). The battery power not required for smartphone or laptop. The material quality is great, refer the picture for the package contents. The advantage of this microphone is that you can use it for webinar or online lecture as you can plug in your headphones into the jack provided on top of the condenser, so you also monitor your recorded piece. This microphone with headphone jack plugged in acts like a normal headphone with mic. If you are a teacher and want to improve your sound quality for online lecture then this is a must. You can also use it for recording video logs and a great microphone for live sessions.

The mic is easy to use with phones, cameras, and laptops. It also comes with a long cable, giving good flexibility while recording.

Pro 2 gelmiş. Fotoğraf makinesinde henüz denemedim ama telefonda denedim. Telefonun kendi mikrofonu ile boya arasında dünyalar kadar fark var. Dip ses geliyor diyenler içinden çıkan kullanma kılavuzuna mutlaka göz atsın. Çevre sesi çok geliyorsa -10'a alarak kullansın. Profesyonel ses almak isteyenler izolasyonlu odada alsın bi zahmet. Cihaz fiyatına göre gayet başarılı.

I Like about this mic the voice clarity during my work meetings in Microsoft teams. Be aware that you need to change the switch to “camera” when you connect it to your PC or laptop to work. Also there is -10dB that lowers the mic sensitivity which helps if you are conducting a meeting in noisy places. But please raise your voice a bit or place it infront of your mouth so the other party can you hear you.

No funciona la entrada jack 3.5 para monitorear el audio en modo smartphone. En este momento pediré la devolución de mi dinero. Lo quería para iniciar con mis videos en redes sociales y no gastar tanto en ello pues estoy comenzando, pero ahora que me llevé esta mala experiencia, a veces uno pierde su tiempo por querer ahorrar unos pesos. El micrófono funciona, pero de que sirve la versión “pro” si una de sus características no funciona.
