This filter kit is perfect if you are on well water. Cleans out all the impurities you need if you have had your well tested already. Great for cooking so far.

I am very impressed with the quality of this UF system. While it does not use UV or have a pressure tank, it does include a decent gage at the water hookup point to provide real time water pressure levels in case you experience problems with getting water through the system. You will need to have a decent water pressure to support a UF system, but not as high as an RO requires. 30psi or above should provide a good experience.I recently had my water softener fail on me and have been dealing with hard water issues in the high 300 ppm range, even reaching higher than 400 at times. (It is really sad considering how much I pay for water that the township will pump out the bare minimum purity levels to remain within health regulations, but not much more than "just" passing.) Before I can hook this up, I need to provide a chemical reaction to reduce the hardness (exchange ions) with a water softener or these filters will wear out too quickly, providing maybe weeks of good filtration. It is important to note that because of the larger pore size, UF can only remove undissolved solids and larger impurities, which in turn is leaving in the minerals. It cannot remove the dissolved solids or reduce the TDS levels. So, UF purifiers are not suitable for purification of high TDS water or hard water on their own.Once I have a new water softener in place, I will be sure to provide an update on my use case experience with this nearly all metal UF 5 stage water ultrafiltration purification system. For first impressions of how well this system is put together and for the quality metal being used, I give it a full 5-star rating.I should be purchasing a water softener within a few months.\NOTE: Be sure to note that this is not meant to be used on wells to purify water. Be sure to have your water tested and get a product that has the proper ratings and certifications for your specific needs.
