Beautiful..
Heidi is one of the most beautiful character I've read❤️This little girl so cheerful and enthusiastic of nature. The girl with so much kindness that with her presence she spreads kindness around her..Heidi lost both of her parents when she was little and her aunt Deiti takes care of her. But soon aunt Deiti needs to move for work so she decided to send Heidi to live with her grandfather in Swiss Alps.Heidi who excitedly adapts all the changes and gets very happy to live around nature. Heidi fills the place with happiness & completely falls in love with the nature around her.But soon her aunt takes her away from her grandfather to become companion to a rich girl in Frankfurt. Heidi who loves nature & her grandfather doesn't settle in this new environment and gets homesick. So she returns to her grandfather to live with him again. The book revolves around the character Heidi and the people she is attached with. The message of kindness is in this pages. Heidi being a little child has heart of innocence. And how kindness can go long way this little girl teaches us.I read Heidi and Pollyanna one by one and both the story explains the point of goodness, kindness, positivity & gratitude. How these qualities needs be spread around the world is what you'll understand in these both the books.

Falling down the tunnel of nostalgia and memories..
For years and years, Spyri's picturization of the green meadows, tall fir trees, snow capped mountains and littered bright flowers remained a happy place for me. I read this book in 4th grade and rereading it made me break down on every page because of the sheer avalanche of memories and nostalgia that I brought with itself. I laughed with her laughter and cried as she was sent away from her Grandfather and her home. A must, MUST read for every child and adult because it's just special that way and missing out on such a story would be such a shameful loss.

The innocence of a bygone age
A true classic that no one could criticize. It made me dream of a time before industry, technology and greed tainted our souls. Heidi is the personification of human innocence.

A charming Swiss classic!
Johanna Spyri's 'Heidi' is a charming nineteenth century swiss classic about home, family, friendship and a timeless story of childhood. It is a novel about the events in the life of little orphan Heidi and her life in the elegant countryside of Switzerland. She was sent to live with her grandfather in the Alps and she became the light of grandfather's impassionate life. She loved her life in the mountain, playing in the sunshine and growing up amongst the goats and birds. One day, she was forced to live her countryside life by her Aunt Dete and to live in a mansion in Frankfurt. The story is her efforts to get back to her grandfather and mountains.'Heidi' is such a heart warming story with arrays of love, hope and happiness. The life in the mountains is so dreamy and the author splendidly explains the seasonal changes. Heidi's life on the mountain is so joyous and the tale vividly portrayed the best of happiness and peace. The story is short and simple and the simplicity makes it more lovely. Heidi makes us wish for such a dreamy life, waking up seeing the snow filled mountains and spending night by looking at the stars!! If the character development was more specific for some characters like Aunt Dete and Clara's Father, it'd be much better. The story mainly focused on Heidi, Uncle Alp and Clara. But apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this little classic and the portrayals of nature and life in the mountains is fascinating. Moreover, the story gives a clear image of nineteenth century swiss society and their lifestyle.
