I got this through the Vine Program in exchange for an honest review. We got this to replace a poorly made affordable/budget rug in a kiddo's room that was bad, even for the price. This rug was a very pleasant surprise! And although I got it through the Vine Program, I'd certainly get it again directly given it's appearance, general quality, and price ($29.99 for a 5'x'8' rug in Light Grey at the time of writing).This is not an heirloom piece or one built to last decades, but that's not what we wanted or needed. This is a fun, neat-looking, comfy, reasonably-priced rug.It is very shaggy and soft. The pile naturally falls in different directions, adding to a very cool textured look. The tie-dye coloring (we got the gray) further adds to the nicely textured appearance of the rug. And it changes every time you walk on it.This rug came in a surprisingly small package, double sealed in plastic. The outer layer of plastic was thick and protective enough to require scissors to cut through. The vacuum-sealed plastic opened easily and quickly and the rug puffed up very quickly! After 24 hours, it is already quite fluffy - and if it keeps fluffing up for another day or so (per the description), I'll be even more impressed.Given its 5'x8' size, long fluff, and foam layer, I expected this rug to be a little weighty. However, it's very light relative to its size and construction. One person easily unpacked, unfolded, laid out, and straightened it with minimal effort.That said, it's almost too light, and the non-skid backing could be better. It's got the little rubber dots in a diamond shape across the backing, but there should be more of these, and they should be bigger or more effective. Between the lightness and the mediocre (but not awful) non-skid backing, the rug tends to slide a bit more easily than I'd prefer in a kiddo's room. I'll solve this myself with some thin rug gripper.It's decently comfortable. Not enough for me to lay on and take a nap (I'm a big guy and it's on a hardwood floor), but definitely comfy enough for kiddos to lay on and read or play, and for pets to enjoy. The extra "sponge" layer gives it just a little extra cushioning, so between that and the rug pile it feels nice under your feet.Giventhe quality, appearance and price I think this is perfect for a kiddo's bedroom, and would be great in a dorm room, game room, or even younger adult's apartment/home.I do NOT suggest this for a highly trafficked living room or other home area with lots of kids/grownups/pets/others treading around. That's because the pile is microfiber/acrylic and has upright, open-ended threads. It's not looped and not made from something like wool, a world blend, or some blend of poly and natural fibers. This is likely not a rug that will last for decades.But at this price, that's not what I expected! And I've had smaller rugs at around this same price that were bad quality right from the packaging. We wanted a fun, comfortable, affordable, good-sized rug that will last the kiddo as long as they think it's cool. And that's what we got!

This rug arrived vacuum sealed in a bag and then inside a small box. I honestly thought it was going to be a 2X3 because it was so small. I was shocked when I opened the plastic and it expanded into this huge fluffy rug that looked beautiful! You would never guess it had been in that little bitty plastic wrapper. It is bigger than I expected but that’s fine for me. My kids love it and lay on it constantly to read and play on their tablets. We actually put it in the back of our camper in the toy hauler part to go camping last weekend and the kids loved it. It was like having it carpeted back there. It turned it into a whole new area for the kids. I’m so glad I bought this rug!

I have to say, when I got my packages delivered today I was very confused wondering where my rug was since neither looked large enough to house an 8-foot by 5-foot rug. I was imagining a long rectangular/cylindrical box. But, as you can see from the second photo, it actually comes vacuum sealed in a bag so it looks a lot smaller than it is.After I opened it up and the rug sprung back to life I laid it across the ground in my room and let me tell you what... this thing is as soft as the photos make it look, if not softer. This is the kind of rug you hear people on TV shows and movies talk about when they want their skin touching a soft rug. So, do with that what you will if you're not single. hahaBut seriously, this rug is fantastic. Highly recommend it.

I love how soft, silky and warm this feels underfoot. It is not going to last a great length of time--especially if you put it in a high traffic area--but for a couple of winters, it should make a comforting addition to the side of the bed when the early morning chill is still in the air (and on the floor!)My only real gripe is that if anything falls into the thick pile, you can't get it out. My dogs are forever bringing in sticks--which get chewed up on the rug (!!!) and it is impossible to pick out or vacuum up the splinters. The pile also sort of mats together when it is washed, so it never looks quite as nice once it has gone through the wash cycle.Still, it will be cozy for awhile and it didn't cost a whole lot.

It’s very thin, not fluffy as it shows on pic looks cheaply made, just very disappointing

This rug is amazing! I was a bit wary of the tie-dye description but the photos of the light grey and white rug looked great. My expectations have been completely exceeded! In fact, I have ordered three more of these rugs in larger sizes: Two for the basement in our mountain cabin and one for my older daughter's apartment. This rug looks and feels great and there's no shedding. I also tried my vacuum on it (on the high pile setting) and it works well. If you are looking for a shag-style design at a price that's Bargainista level, this is your rug.
