Motul Combo of C2 Chain Lube (400 ml) and C1 Chain Clean for All Bikes (400 ml) (LBCH014)

I’ve been using the Motul C1 cleaner and C2 lube on my TVS Raider 125 for almost two years now, and I just reordered another pack. I clean and lube the chain every 400 to 500 km, or a bit sooner if I end up riding through heavy rain or muddy roads. The C1 spray cleans away all the black gunk and old grease without needing scrubbing. Once it dries, the C2 lube goes on easy and stays on the chain instead of spraying sticky mess all over the rear wheel. Right after using it, the bike runs smoother and the chain noise also drops. The spray cans are easy to use, so I can finish the whole job in about 15-20 minutes. How often you need to do it just depends on how dusty or wet your roads are, but for daily riding, this kit is solid. Definitely worth buying if you want to keep your bike in good shape!

That alone speaks volumes about the quality and efficiency of the product.The C1 Chain Clean does an excellent job of removing dirt, old grease, and grime without damaging O-rings. The C2 Chain Lube provides smooth lubrication, reduces chain noise, and noticeably improves chain smoothness during rides. Good for chain cleaning

So I finally decided to get the chain Lubrication of my New Bike done and ordered Motul Chain Lube/Clean on Amazon with a Combo price of Rs 990/- Motul has a certain good quality to its products that others cannot evenly match hence even though it is a bit on the expensive side, having a well maintained and trust-worthy bike is well worth it. Lets see how it works.**Chain Cleaning Procedure**1) Wash the entire bike along-with the chain to knock off any stubborn dirt, dust, loose grease etc from the chain and surrounding chain guards and tensioners etc. High pressure water washing helps. Though some bike manuals say it is not recommended it cant really harm the chain as the chain clean & lube process will be happening soon. Ride the bike a bit to get rid of water on the chain.2) Make sure you are working with a completely dry chain. Flip the bike on the main stand or try to get a Paddock stand for bikes with no main stand. Though not a requirement it will make the task much easier3) Spray generous amounts of chain cleaner onto the rotating chain preferably from the rear of the bike near the rear sprocket. This will ensure the cleaner penetrates all links well with minimum wastage and any excess spray gets onto the sprocket teeth and away from other parts. Use a proper chain cleaner brush to get deep into the links and in between the O rings and sides of the chain.4) Wait about 5 mins for the cleaner to dissolve dirt grime etc then wipe off with a rag. Make sure all links (Inside & Outside surfaces) are well cleaned.5) Re-apply if you feel the chain could get cleaner or if stubborn dirt still persists and needs another spray.6) Wipe off the complete chain with a rag and let dry. This is a Petroleum based solvent cleaner and will evaporate.**Chain Lubrication Procedure**1) After the chain is thoroughly cleaned and dried, rub a lint free cloth once again along the length of the chain to remove any dust, dirt or left-over particles from the cleaning job.2) Remember the Chain Lube is Sticky and does NOT come off easily so cover all exposed areas of the bike with paper or a cloth before spraying the lubricant.3) Spin the wheel and spray generously while aiming for the rear sprocket area again. This will cover maximum areas and surfaces of the chain with minimum wastage and spillage. Run the chain round about 2 times wile spraying fully with a mild left/right motion to cover both sides of the chain and rings along-with the exposed surfaces.4) Wipe off any excess fluid from the bike, rims, sprockets, tensioners etc where the Lube has sprayed. Remember do it now as this will be even more difficult to remover later.5) Allow to dry overnight or about 12 hrs before use. This will ensure complete penetration into the chain links and less chance of the Lube flinging itself off the chain when riding at speed.6) Enjoy your super quiet and smooth chain with smoother Gear-shiftsTips:> Lubricate your chain every 500 (If very dusty) to 1000 (Normal usage) kms> Ensure your chain is cleaned before Lubrication. Spraying Lube over the existing dirt and grime will cause even faster wear and tear of the links and rings as the dirt gets liquefied and acts like wet sandpaper.> WD40 helps get chain lube stains out easily - Spray some and leave for about 10-15 mins then wipe off.> WD40 also helps in chain cleaning, cheaper and equally effective but it is oil based (WD40) and Motul Chain Clean is Petroleum solvent based. Obviously the petroleum solvent will evaporate faster after removing dirt/grime leaving less residue. The WD40 will require more wiping with rags as it will leave an oily residue. Been using Motul C1 + C2 on both my Himalayan 450 and KLX 230, and it just works.C1 cuts through all the crap your chain picks up — dust, mud, old lube — especially after off-road runs. I ride in proper dirt and slush, and this thing cleans it without me having to scrub like crazy.C2 is where it really shows — chain feels smoother instantly, less noise, no dryness. Stays on well too, even after proper rides. On the Himalayan it keeps things consistent, and on the KLX (which I ride harder), it still holds up solid.Just don’t overspray — light, even coat works best.Overall, solid stuff. No hype, no gimmick. Just does the job

Chain cleaner is too good before I was using WD40 for cleaning also chain lube is good does the job done

Chain cleaner is good but you may work with wd40 instead and the chain lube is worst as its sticky and attracts more dirt than lubing the chain.

Perfect combination for chain maintenance. Would purchase again
