Wonderful Tool
If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing a stud remover, you at least won't regret buying this, as it worked perfectly, at least for my application - removing a busted 6mm stud from the exhaust side of a 2.2L cylinder head. The only thing I should note is the size of the tool is slightly deceptive, and is a little larger than you would think. For those who need this tool for extremely tight spaces with little tolerance around the stud, I would be sure this will fit beforehand. Having said that, I performed the above stud removal with the engine still in its bay, with only a few inches of space to maneuver around, and only ~1" of tolerance around the stud for this to fit around, and it still performed perfectly.

Just What I Needed
Needed to replace my exhaust y-pipe(bad cats) on a 2005 Silverado with the 5.3, so I expected to break some flange studs. Ended up stripping one and breaking two out of six. I ordered this tool ahead of time in case I needed it, glad I did. Great tool if you are going to tackle an exhaust repair job like I did. Word of advice, use the correct size socket with a 1/2 inch breaker bar not a 3/8 inch driver. Tighten down on the stud and go slow, use some heat and penetrating oil and it will remove the stud. After removing three studs the tool held up well, the jaws were not deformed or break into pieces. Great price, spent less than $20.

Great tool
You can’t beat this tool the price is great it is an excellent tool to use to remove broken studs or bolts I have been in the automotive business for years and had the best starter extractors that money could buy and this tool is the best by far I have ordered several of them for guys I work with in my Toyota dealership and I haven’t heard one complaint about it

Works as intended even on very short break offs.
I was able to extract a very short broken stud (Approx. a bit less than 3/8") with a little finesse, the very tips of the jaws are very able to strongly clamp and not deflect giving you maximum ability to extract.

GREAT tool!
has been used to remove and re-install at least 30 studs from the back of 350 GM boat motors. Still going strong!
