LG 27MP68HM 27" Full HD IPS Slim LED Backlit Computer Monitor

This monitor isn't as great as it is made out to be in the product description. Here's a list of problems I see with it:1. Very poor blacks in dim light. While the monitor can go low on the blacks, the anti-glare coating makes black areas appear as grey splotches. Make no mistake, this isn't a viable alternative to the 27" iMac – Retina or not.2. Too much jitter at 1080i. I tried 1080i from my laptop and from Tata Sky HD+ STB. Both resulted in a jittery display. 720p on Tata Sky and, of course, 1080p on laptop fixed the jitter.3. No HD for Prime Video. If you're an Amazon Prime fan, be aware that Prime Video will not play HD for copy-protected content while playing from a Mac laptop. In all fairness, this is more likely a Mac issue than monitor.4. Maxx Audio is terrible. I tried many many permutations to make Maxx Audio sound good, but the best sound is reproduced with Maxx Audio turned off. Even so, the sound quality is not up to the mark for the claimed 5W x2 speakers. The F&D E200 soundbar runs circles around it at the same speaker power rating.5. Audio Out is terrible too. I tried plugging in my headphones into the monitor and the sound output was much worse than that from my laptop.6. Poor configuration interface. Though I love the single-button joystick controls, the OSD is not well done. You can't choose a picture mode and customise it as a starting point. E.g. my only issue with "Photos" mode is the boosted sharpness, but I can't change it without going to "Custom" mode. That wouldn't have been a big issue, but there's also no way to copy settings from a preset into Custom to make the adjustments. Once you get into Custom mode, it's very difficult to make informed tuning decisions. Take Gamma setting, for example. It offers options like, "Gamma0", "Gamma1", "Gamma2". Why not just mention the Gamma number that makes sense to people?I bought this monitor mainly for its claims about colour accuracy and built-in audio. The colour accuracy is let down by poor surface quality of the screen and incomprehensible customisation options. The built-in audio is just bad, plain and simple.

This is best monitor in 27 inch category at this price.1. Very accurate colors.2. Large screen. Very good for watching movies, playing games and reading e-books, without any strain on eyes.3. Due to Border-less design and Slim profile does not look bulky.4. No dead pixel. My earlier Samsung AH-IPS display had lot of inactive pixels and TN panel before that had 1 dead pixel. This LG panel is my first one without any dead pixel.5. At more than 1.5 feet you will not notice pixels if your eyesight is good.6. IPS glow is very less and at edges. It is a limitation of IPS technology.7. Do not think too much, just buy. This is best deal for it's price. I am very happy with this purchase. Money well spent.

This was my first monitor for my PS4 console. Earlier I used a Sony Bravia 32'' HD TV for gaming but wanted to go for a full hd one so went for it. After searching for online reviews this one had very good reviews than others and well it surely reached my expectation. The TV produced very good colors and image quality and the monitor didn't dissapoint me at all. Although the colors seemed a little bit better in the TV but there's hardly any noticeable difference. I would definitely recommend going for this one as it produces some very good colors and contrasts. Very satisfied.

The quality of picture is great. Delivered to my doorstep in perfect condition, I've been using it for three weeks now, no problems so far. Two reader modes available, which is helpful because I use it as an extended screen for my laptop. I don't use the speakers from the screen so I can't comment on their quality. So far, very happy with the product.

Good quality monitor but don’t have height adjustment if you can spend more get the hight adjustable one
