Worked for 3 months
Really liked the grill when it worked. 3 months of average use and it died a death. So.. an expensive purchase for the time it lasted. Can't recommend and wouldn't buy again obviously. My advice is to buy a better one from a shop where you can return it if it doesn't perform as it should. This was a just a costly mistake.

excellent for what I wanted it for
I heats up in seconds to max; when you turn to low/0 it switches off, (which I was looking for) so no need to reach over/across a hot toaster to switch off at plug; I only ever needed it for toasting bread and it is perfect for this; fits 4 slices of sliced bread - which I also was looking for; plats not removable (could not find one that was large enough and with off switch that had them - so settled on this) hence only 3 starts for cleaning and 3 for versatility as without removable plates I would NEVER consider grilling/cooking on it. It does open up to double; the max heat setting is truly high.

Very poor quality
Very poor quality. Temperament temperature control. Very awkward to clean as plates are not removable. I have to return it at my cost of £13.
