Still doing great
Iโve been using this APC UPS for almost 4 years now and itโs still going strong. I was worried the battery would severely degrade over time as with most battery power products, but the difference from the day i purchased it 4 years ago to today is not that significant at all. It still keeps my PC up for 15-30 minutes after power loss, depending on the task the system is performing. I have it regularly connected to a BenQ 1080p monitor & one of the PCs. Tried it with a full tower pc + monitor for 3 years and now itโs powering up my Thinkpad just fine. One of the best UPS investments. Highly recommended to get this or a higher version of this. Never cheap out on power supply.

Fine when it works, but died under warranty - FIXED after warranty claim
APC used to be one of the best UPS brands in the market but they've definitely gotten worse over the years.First off, I use this with a 450W mid range computer and 2 displays, and only needed it for uninterrupted backup for 10-15s before my generator power kicks in. I have never used this on battery for more than a minute since I bought it in December 2023. It worked perfectly for this purpose since I do frequent zoom calls on presentations and needed the peace of mind. It handled the mini power cuts with ease and I was never worried about the battery since I barely used it.I have the "battery saver" option thing on, have kept it clean and ventilated in a cool corner of the room.Last week when the power went out as usual it straight up just died. Turning it on makes all the lights flicker and a fast buzzing/ticking sound goes off. Needless to say it does not power my PC anymore so I'm currently plugged directly into the wall. After some googling I found out it's because of an internal electrical failure, and is actually not uncommon in this particular UPS model. Hence why I'm leaving this review, so you're a bit aware of the potential problems you could have with this - it hasn't even been a year and this thing already needs to be repaired. When you pay a bit more for a reputed brand you expect better than this.I am currently figuring things out with Schneider/APC to get this unit either replaced or fixed. Needless to say I cannot recommend this UPS despite my prior good experience with it because, apparently, it can fail out of nowhere with no warning within a year of purchase. Disgusting QC. I will bump up the stars to 4 if they are able to get this sorted out without a hassle.UPDATE: 19/07/24After 2 weeks of some back and forth with support (which seemed to keep asking me for the same information repeatedly losing a bunch of time in the process), I finally had a Schneider technician call me and do a home visit to look at the unit. He replaced the batteries saying the old ones had died due to a possible defect, and that the rest of the unit is fine. I'll use it for a few days and hopefully it's fine now.So yeah, failure under 1 year = big boo, support and warranty = good enough, got the job done but a bit slow to respond sometimes. Home visit for servicing was convenient though. I think 4 stars is a bit much all things considered so here you go, 3/5. Gets the job done, may fail if the gods are displeased.

It does what it says.
[Purchased 21/02/2026, Updated 06/06/2026]I got the Back-UPS 1100 (BX1100C-IN 1100VA / 660W) one.First run, it took 7 hours to charge (first charge asks for 10 hours). I charged it while having my laptop, monitor connected. There are 4+1 sockets, a battery saver(which prolongs battery health but gives less backup time). a 3pin (6A) Plug for input power supply and 5 3pin 6A sockets for output power supply. The manual explicitly mentions not to use a surge protector/extension cord on any of the 5 sockets it has in the back. Yet on the first 4 hours I used a surge protector cord.So I had:a) 27W Monitorb) 16W phone chargerc) 35W printer ,up three on the surge p cord, socket 1 andd) 150W laptop (battery nulled) on socket 2There was a hiccup with Monitor going half dark for 10th of a sec but nothing like previous when if just used to go black. It's good for what it says and does.Update1: There was massive powercut in my city and the fridge needed to be run for an hour so I thought let's try this UPS on it.it's a Samung 190L fridge, power rating 65W-90W.When you do a cold start then the UPS beeps twice in the beginning and then one beep every minute. It ran for 55 mins, then it started beeping every second until the 58th minute and 47 seconds after which it went off after beeping continuously for about 4-5 seconds. So, total runtime was 58 mins and 47 seconds. Which is really good for me.I'll try next with my laptop + monitor setup.I will update the review in like 7 days.[UPDATE]Here's the update after 1 year 4 months.Scenario: Power Cut, Battery Saver offHardware connected:1. 150W charger (laptop), with 38 tabs open on Firefox and Chrome combined, Music playing in the background via YT. Expected load: 50-100W2. LG Ultragear 27W Monitor, expected Load: full 27W, no standbyTotal load (supposed): 130WIt ran for 46 mins 10 seconds and started beeping every second until 46 mins 49 seconds where it went off which long beep of 10-15 seconds then I switched on the power (wall socket).45+ mins is too good after 1 year of usage.Note: This might be 3rd or 4th time I drained it completely. I generally use the UPS as a failover for my laptop which doesn't have a battery connected to it anymore. On my inverter (normal mode) it sometimes restarted my laptop or gave BSOD due to Kernel Power 41 event that's why I went with this UPS. it's too good for its price.

Probably received a faulty piece (Update 4)
This is a nice UPS to have which can take in load of 2 computers easily and gives a good battery life. However, it seems I have received a piece with a fault which makes the UPS turn off automatically when it competes it charging! This happens at least once a month. This happens even when there is a PC running on it and the "battery saver" option is turned off. This is totally not expected from a premium product of a company known for good quality UPS. This defeats the entire purpose of having a UPS in first place. Even low end UPS products don't have such random issues that I have had with APC for the last two UPS purchases.Update: Since this was under warranty, I contacted APC and got technician visit. But since the problem is not demonstrable, they asked to make video of the issue once it occurs and again raise complaint. So, the issue occurred again a couple of times and made a video of it and contacted APC again. Got technician visit again and this time got the main circuit board replaced just today. Will update if this issue occurs again on replacement.Update2: Since replacement the UPS is functioning well but now it will beep with 2 sec delay 10-15 times in middle of the night almost 5 days in a week waking up everyone. The beep sequence means that temperature is high and so it beeps with fans running which is absurd. So this refurbished replacement main board has issue with some temp sensor which triggers only at night. Very bad quality control there APC. Next UPS is going to be non APC brand.Update3: Before buying another UPS, I made a last attempt with APC. Created a video of the issue and raised another complaint. Finally, APC replaced the complete unit. Just hoping that this replacement unit works as expected.Update4: The replacement UPS does not beep like the previous one but it will start fan at night between 2am to 6am almost 2-3 days per week creating noise that is sufficient to get irritated at night when things are calm. Once the fan starts it will keep on running for 3-4 hours even if cooling is not needed since its night when its already cool and the air coming from the unit is also chilly. This does not happen any time in the day when temperatures are above 30C. So this seems to be a design issue with this product. I would not recommend anyone to buy this especially if you are going to put this in your bedroom.

Not the worst ๐ | But thought this was my worst purchase
Edited..Read the below review after reading this..Everything I said below was true. But lately I claimed the warranty and the the APC support person came and checked the product and realised the one of the battery was fault and had issues. So he replaced it and now the ups is damn, giving enough backup ๐ฅ. Still I didn't tried how long it can last while gaming but once when I was playing PUBg PC, it was an intense session, so when the power was gone, i couldn't stop playing because we were on the middle of a fight, so I just keep playing and the power usage is too high considering that I'm playing on 1440p custom high-ultra settings, and I played till the power restored and it took I suppose almost 5-7 minutes. So I'm damn sure the ups can withstand almost 10minutes of heavy use without any issue. And right now I'm happy for the purchase. Still removing one star for the weired fan Noise while on battery backup.First review:Not sure what went wrong. I have been Apc user for almost 4-5 years. I was using back ups 360w for my desktop pc. Even though it didn't gave enough backup for gaming but in idle I did get plenty of backup for my router. So when I upgraded my system with some good gaming spec, I had to upgrade my ups also, for more power draw.Due to my good experience with APC, i gone for this 1100 version. Thought it would give me enough backup. The only positive thing I can say about this is : "sorry I don't remember anything, or there isn't any. ๐"Cons i can say alot, I will mention some of them :Battery backup is bad, means really bad. Don't even give enough time to shutdown my system. I am using Deepcool 550 W psu and a 27" monitor with 25W power usage. Also with a router with less than 5W power usage. So even adding all these are max didn't even use 600W. But even in idle state, if the power is our, the ups don't give enough time for me to shutdown my system. Maximum of 1minute.The charging is whack! Even after power completely drawn off of the ups, when I put this to charging, after 1/2 hour the charging led stops lighting, it looks like it's fully charged. But the it's not๐.The noise of the fan is disgusting, after turning off the ups, the fan starts and keep rotating for almost 5-10minutes and it feels like hell. And even the normal noise is very higher than we think.. when the whole room is silent, i can hear the ups noise from the next room. That much noise it makes. But I thought it is a problem with the device I got. But referring with some one using the same ups, it comes with this stupid ups.My bad the returning period is over. And I'm going to reach out to apc for a replacement or refund for this worst purchase of my life. Never thought this going to happen from such a respected brand.

Really it is good. One day by mistake I switched off the UPS power supply and started working in PC. I connected 27 inch 2k monitor, wifi router and amd 7 mini pc. Morethan one hour I worked suddenly all system went off. Later I noticed UPS is shutdown. It has got good back up. I strongly recommend for the purchase.

Good, but needs battery replacement every year.
Good Product.I have connected a 8 Pin Honeywell Spike buster. All 8 ports are occupied.2 laptop chargers (65W , 120W)2 Mobile chargers (65W)RouterMonitor1 Emergency Light + Goodnight Machine1 Mac miniWhen the product is new, battery backup for above setup is surprisingly 1 hr and 11 minutes.Gradually I have seen, the backup time reduce to 55 mins, 40 mins, 30..20...10..3 minutes. This graduation is 1 year. I bought this exactly one year ago (31/May/2024). So this has been my one year experience.Do not call APC or take the UPS to their service centre. They will add unnecessary costs for battery replacement.Battery replacement can be self service. You just need to remove 4 star screws behind. The back panel will come out.You will see 2 batteries. Before dismantling the batteries, take a photograph of +ve, -ve wire plugs. After dismantling the battery, you have to remove the APC sticker on the battery. You will see code like 1272 which means 12V, 7.2Ah.Now you can go buy Exide 12V, 7.5Ah.One battery cost is 1000 Rupees. 50 rupees discounted for the old battery. Hence you will get 2 batteries for 1900.Mount the batteries again. It should run again for another year. Hopefully? Let's see how long the Exide battery runs.I will update this review next year when I change the battery again. However, I should have explored more on any other cheaper battery. 2K every year is a pricey affair![Updated Again on June 24 2026.I still have the same setup above. I got the same kind of backup. First you get 75Mins+. Slowly degrades to 60, 50, 40, 30, 20 ,10, 5 mins and lastly now 3mins.Battery dead again after 1 year and 1 month.Just an FYI that Battery prices have gone up.Two thousand Rupees+ (for 2 batteries) every year is a very costly affair! Also, this time I have bought Exide (12v, 9AH) instead of Exide (12V 7.5Ah). Slightly longish backup.]
