Bathroom Extractor Fan 100 mm / 4" Brushed Chrome Finish Front Panel - Humidity Sensor

needed a new fan for the bathroom and decided to change from just timed to one with hidromat Humidity Sensor built in as the shower room is quite small and does suffer from condensation. This fan is not the most expencive i can be a bit cheap the wife says, but it had that nice brushed chrome look to match everything else. i had the wireing for switched time off the lights so it was simple to wire up, a bit smaller backplate than i had taken down so needed a bit of mastic to fill the gaps, but it did fit the 4" pipe sugly. All in all a good looking and quiet operation started immediately on the humidity so looks like that works as well. Bargin fan 10/10.

Works like a charm!To install, it has three terminals - Live and neutral, which is always live, and the third "trigger" which you can attach in parallel with your bathroom light or separate switch. Then, adjust the time and the humidity sensor (I've got mine at 60% ish).Looks great too!One downside, the innards are not secured very well, but a dab of silicone or hot glue on the edges of the board and it's fine.

Installed to replace an ageing exhaust fan. Installation is very simple if replacing an existing one. The unit looks good but thats where it ends. For its size it is quite noisy, would expect such a compact unit to be lower volume. It was installed with a switch which i used to turn on to test extraction. I held a steaming kettle just 10cm away from the fan (with and without the front cover on) and it barely moved the stream of steam, never mind actually extract it - so i doubt the extraction volumes they quote are anywhere near accurate. It would be overwhelmed in a bathroom with a hot shower or bath running. A complete waste of time and money - its only use, and i mean only one use is to admire it as a piece of art. Will be replacing it with a branded/more trusted unit shortly. Another lesson in getting what you pay for. would give it ZERO stars if i could!

Fan very quiet, sleek looking. Probably wired wrong as timer and humidity sensor won't work. Would recommend as it does the job just right when controlled by switch, good price and not your boring looking white extractor fan.

Basic fan, works well, bought because of good reviews on another website, but I don't recommend for ceiling fixing, water vapour condenses on the cover plate and it never turns off. Difficult to wire up, as there is not much space in housing. Even though it's, fairly self explanatory, the instructions could have more details of how to set the humidity sensor and timer. On the whole it's cheap and seems to work well, starting ,up when we have a shower or bath. Quite noisy. Make sure you realise, the humidity sensor is set to maximum for the fan to switch off quicker, on minimim it will run for ages teying to minimise the humidity. Have now replaced with Xpelair, doen't look as good but works a lot better.
