These are perfect for your high end headphones to be converted to headset.Pros:1. Comes with two two extra adhesive tips so if you lose adhesion on your existing tip you still have two spare. I used two of my adhesive tips for my Sennheiser HD 598 and my Audio Technica ATH M50x.2. Sound quality is tinny but quite clear for VoIP calls and meetings.3. Comes with it's own carrying case!4. Has an in line mute switch. Perfect for quickly muting while on a conference call.5. Noise cancelling works decently well. The other side never complained that I was in a noisy environment.Cons:1. Wire is too long. It should have been modular. It's too cumbersome to do proper cable management.2. Doesn't come with a Y splitter for 3.5mm TRRS Jack's which are becoming increasingly common. The headphone mic combo Jack needs a single TRRS jack and this adapter should be provided by antlion. I had to search for it quite a bit. Another problem is that this combo Jack has two standards, one is apple standard and the other is PC and andorid standard. So the y splitter needs to be compatible with laptop or Mac.3. Doesn't work well with mobile phones because there isn't much amplification. The Audio is too weak for mobile devices. This only meant for PC where the sound card has more amplification.4. Make sure you position the mic a little above or below your mouth or you'll get plosive sounds. The included foam shield doesn't stop the plosive sounds.Overall it serves my purpose well enough. I want to be able to join meeting calls in relative comfort but also don't want to carry separate headphones or earphones with mic for listening to music. Perfect for my use case.Would recommend this to people having a similar use case.

March 2017 , I have bought the Antlion Modmic 4.0 with mute switch. It was performing well with the Icom7300 transceiver. Recently the mic started to behave erratically, lot of noise in the audio is observed. The 3.5mm connector in the Modmic seems to be faulty or the connection is breaking sometimes. Since I am using this with an Amateur radio transceiver, mic was kept in a fixed position and the chances of failure due rough use is not existing at all. I was not expecting anything like this from a high costmic like this, now I have my own doubts about the quality of this mic. I am not sure whether I got the original modmic or a chinese clone of it. Be careful if you are buying this product.

ModMic is great if you have the hardware to drive this.So let's say your laptop has 3.5 mm jack and if you think that alone will make you ModMic sound awesome then that's wrong.Most of the time i have seen microphone over 3.5 mm jack has issues.This normally can be rectified by using usb sound card or essentially buying a sound card.Just buy an usb microphone or headset with usb connection if you really care about your voice production.Just don't spend your money and time on this.This works great but to get this working it requires you to align moon sun and earth

For the price I purchased it, which, if I remember correctly was about 1.5K, this little beauty outperforms much costlier mics, and is a charm to use. Installation is easy. Comes with extra sticky pads and magnets, should the initial one lose it's adhesion (Although, at almost half a year of use, the first application works plenty fine).The mic quality is absolutely top notch, there is very little static or humming, if any at all, and unless you bring it REALLY close, the "pops" are barely there.Overall, an absolute steal, and a great mic, specially if you already have some nice cans and don't want to spend another 5K on some decent headset for just the mic.

This is a worst mic I have ever purchased.If you are purchasing this, you have to purchase Antlion USB adapter and pay more than the cost of this mic. Antlion USB adapter costs Rs. 3500 in India. So, you have to pay total of Rs. 6000 roughly. Why? Because, your normal soundcard will record too low voice levels. So, without adaptor it is not a word of Rs. 100 mic also.The details given are incomplete and misguide us. Record in night or got to a less noisy place to record.

Works extremely well with a desktop or laptop computer. I didn't have to sacrifice headphone sound quality and acquire a headset instead. Been using it for over 2 years now with no problems.
