this thing was essentially perfect for what I needed
so, I am a big guy (240#, 5'10") ... I have a fair amount of low back pain and leg, knee, and ankle pain ... sometimes it's so bad that i can barely walk standing upright. We planned a family vacation that involved a LOT of walking / standing (think museums, etc. - not outdoor hiking). I knew that it would be a rough time if i couldn't sit down periodically, so I looked for a portable seat that would be easy to carry and unfold/refold on the go. Fortunately, I don't have strength/balance issues, so I took a chance on this item. It absolutely fit the bill. Worked perfectly and made the trip a success - i kept up and just sat myself down when needed (i.e. read a display, watch a presentation, etc.). The seat could be a little larger and a little cushion would be even better, but as-is, it fully met my expectations.

Very useful
This is nifty! Of course is isn't a real chair, but it is a good substitute when there is a need. As a cane or walking stick it is a little bit heavy, but still useful. I leave it in my car and use it when there are likely to be long periods of standing. It is very sturdy - great little gaget.

Saved my life
I have chronic pain in the back, hip and left leg, even after two operations and shots and countless medications. I can only walk or stand for about 10 minutes. So I was told to learn to live with the pain. I had to travel to Europe to be with my wife and was concerned about the airports, even if wheelchair was available. To make the story short, the cane allows me to take a minute rest after some walking so I can at least do something, like going from the parking to the restaurant, museum, waiting in lines, etc. And even going to the supermarket (in most of Europe there are no handicapped shopping carts and even in the US most of the time they are taken). This cane/seat has allowed me to move, which is very valuable, one of my best "investments". If has proven sturdy, stable and reasonable comfortable for the few minutes I sit on it. And lightweight, but big enough to seat and small enough to carry on airplanes without hassle.Lots of people ask me where I got it.:P.S. After two months of moderate use I have to remove one star. The rubber in the handle is staring to wear out on the top and opened a hole on the underside, as you can see in the picture

Walking Stick
We received the walking stick with pull down seat and it is perfect for my husband! He hurts a lot when walking and if he can sit for a few minutes for the sharp pain to go away he does much better and is not so limited. It does rake him awhile to get from point A to B, but worth the freedom The Stick gives him.

False Claims of Sturdiness
I have mobility issues that make it difficult for me to stand for more than 3-4 minutes at a time. I did a lot of research, and I selected this cane since it was rated for 300 lbs, so I thought it would be more sturdy. I was wrong. The cane arrived yesterday. The first time I sat on it, I was relieved that I could remain in one place, having a conversation without being in constant pain. I made sure it was adjusted to my height, and I sat with the cane between my legs, as directed. My second time using the cane was less successful. I went to sit down so I could make breakfast, and the stool crumpled beneath me, tossing me down onto the linoleum floor. Luckily, I was not injured, though the fall did increase my overall pain for the day. I can only imagine what that fall would have been like for someone more fragile.

Feels secure
I’m very happy with this cane. It took a short time to be used to walking with it, but the seat is sturdy and it’s come in handy many times.

Great surface area seat
Haven't actually used it yet. I can get around without a cane but I can't stand or wait in line for long periods. My plan is to take this travelling with me as I have been caught at airports especially with no place to sit and by the time I get to the front of the line I am sweaty and short of breath (heart condition), don't want to use a wheelchair as I am ambulatory.

Feet are too round for stability
The feet are too rounded to be able to use it as a good walking cane, and require the user to have good balance if they are using it as a seat. It would be better with flat tips (like a walking cane should have) and wider at the base of the tips to provide more stability and support.

Not suitable for a tall person
I bought this for someone who is 6’2. The cane height, though adjustable, is simply not long enough. Otherwise a good product for someone of short or average height. I’d like to return it, but the seller is a third party in China…so it’s too much of a hassle. I will resell oand take a loss.

very useful
It's very light but sturdy. I find it very useful for when I'm tired and need a place to sit.
